Best Moderate Resort?

What is your favorite moderate resort? The only mod I've stayed in is Coronado Springs and hated how huge and spread out it is. Are they all that way? How are the buses? Where are the best areas to request for a standard room? Thanks!!

My favorite is CSR because I like how big it is. CBR is also very large and POR, while smaller, has a relatively long walk to the check-in area. If you want compact and moderate POFQ is probably the resort for you.

Then you're left with POR or CBR. POR is the same size as CSR and CBR is slightly larger. CBR is our favorite moderate by far. However one of the things we love about it, it's size, is one of the things you hated about CSR.

If POFQ is out, then POR is my next best. Love the grounds, food court, boat to DTD, pole fishing, nightly campfires, and surrey bikes and don't forget the horse carriage rides available. The best thing is all the trees, lush landscaping and beautiful paths along the river. It is the kind of place where you feel like you can escape the Disney madness. Make sure you do take the boat to DTD because the boat ride itself is quite pleasant and DTD is really fun to visit at night!

Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are fantastic non preferred locations. Both are a 3-4 minute stroll across the bridge to the food court and main feature pool. Every village has it's own bus stop and quiet pool so you are always close to one of them.

That sounds perfect. Is the bus service slow due to all the bus stops? Does it share with any other resorts?

Depends on when you are going. The bridge is closed now, I think until the end of the year. While it's closed, you're better off with Martinique and/or Barbados.

We have always had great bus service. If you're the first stop picked up you'll be pulling out of CBR proper in about 6-7 minutes. You do not share with any other resort.

True. I didn't mention that because CBR is pretty much sold out through the end of the year so I figured OP wouldn't be affected.

If that is the case I'd go with the Alligator Bayou section of POR and request either a preferred room or buildings 16 or 17.

Our favorite is CSR. We have stayed there many times, love the pool, the bus service and the rooms are very nice. Plus they are the only moderate that has a gym. I call it a "deluxe light" resort.

At POR, Go with preferred Room in Alligator Bayou section, Building 14. This is the closest to the main building, restaurants and pool and the south depot bus stop.
