We added a night to our trip after I initially booked, so I am looking for a moderate for night 1. Right now I have CBR Pirate Room booked. Today CSR is cheaper (though it is a standard room) and right along POR has been the best price wise (but we've already been there). We won't be doing any parks the first day/night. My ADR is for Homecoming at 530.

What would you recommend? For this one night it is only 4 of us (mom, dad, 15yo and 2yo)

If you are going to Homecoming for a 5:30 ADR I would choose POR or POFQ. You will have a boat to Disney Springs, which is both quicker and nicer than a bus.
Are you aware that the Pirate rooms are only double beds, not Queens. That would be enough for me to move just there. CSR is lovely too.
Good Luck

For one night no parks, we like POR. As mentioned, the boat to Disney Springs is a unique option to get there but give yourself enough time. The actual commute on the boat, once you board, is about 25-30 minutes. Not including the time you spend waiting for the boat. They do ramp up the number of boats in the evening but you'd likely have to head out before that happens. Worst case, you can always take the boat back!

oh good thinking about the boat to Disney Springs! I didn't remember that!

Since youre going to homecoming, i'd go with POR for sure. I know you've already been there but think of the convenience and the travel time you'd be saving...not to mention the money you'd save. :) It just makes sense.

I should mention that your current booking at CBR pirate room, you do know those are double beds right? Pirate rooms are the only rooms with double beds. The rest of the resort has queen beds. Double beds arent exactly comfy for the 4 of you. Another reason to switch to POR. At least you'd get queen beds.

- Def would not stay in a Pirates room.
- CSR standard room is still way better than a CBR Pirates room and close to main pool.
- POR would give you boat to Disney Springs for your dinner.
- If you are using the pool for your daytime I would choose CSR.

For a one night stay, I prefer POFQ. It is small and quiet. The boat to DS would be very convenient for your reservation at Homecoming.

oh really OK thanks. the pirate room looked fun. I know they are double beds. I thought we could deal with it for the night to be totally entrenched in "theming" LOL but I will look again at CSR. I do want a nice pool.
