We are staying at the CBR and will have a rental car. Would it be best to drive over or take the bus. We have a 3 &5 year old and are only spending one day at Magic Kingdom so are hoping to be there most of the day. What are the pros and cons to driving and Disney Transportation.

Also being that we will only be at Disney for 3 days should we do a character meal at MK or do it on our other days instead of wasting precious park time. The only other park we were planning on going to is Blizzard Beach if it is warm enough.

Thanks for the help.

A bus to the MK will drop you very close to the entrance. If you drive a car, you will need to park in the lot, walk or take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you would either get the monorail or the ferry to the entrance to the MK.

I would take the bus.

If you drive your car, you'll have to park at the Transportation & Ticket Center (MK parking lot) & then take the monorail or boat to the MK front gate. If you take the Disney bus, they will drop you off near the front gate, bypassing the T & TC.

Make sure you take the monorail at least once during your trip SOMEWHERE--you can't do WDW without the monorail. There is also a boat that runs from the TTC to the MK which qualifies for "gotta do it at least once" status. But the boat ride will take you 20 minutes.

Viewed strictly as a mode of transportation the bus will get you there much quicker.
