Best MK princess experience for boys?

Planning my MK FP's and I have 2 boys, ages 6 and 11. They have no interest in anything princess, except maybe Ana and Elsa at Epcot...however I'm wondering if there's anything we should consider at MK - what's Tales With Belle like? Does she just read some stories, or is it something more involved? Would it be worth using a FP on? Or should we just skip all things princess at MK? Thanks.

Enchanted Tales with Belle reenacts the story with children as the other characters. There are plenty of roles for boys.

If you don't feel like it will spoil it for you, it might help to watch a youtube video of Belle. I had no idea until I watched a video.

Also, my son really enjoyed eating at BOG. We did lunch and it was a great experience for us!

I may or may not make DS meet Cinderella and Tinkerbell at the charachter spots. If you're lucky they may get a little lipstick kiss on the cheek. Nothing is funnier than watching him squirm and book it out of those rooms. Classic Photopass pictures.

My 5yr DS got to play the role of beast in Enchanted Tales. We had done BBB right before using a FP here, he was knighted and chose the beast cloak....made a big roar and got the part. He enjoyed it and this mommy had tears in her eyes. Whomever is chosen as beast gets to roar and dance with Belle.

One of my best WDW memories was seeing my grade school-aged son (now 16) get a big kiss from Aurora at Cinderella's Royal Table and almost melt into the floor from joy. I'll never forget it. We tend to present stuff at our house as for everyone, regardless of gender, so we don't predetermine what they'll like. We've found our son enjoyed princesses as much as the girls. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but now he has a fleet of female friends!

I think every member of the family can enjoy Belle. It's really neat and there's something for everyone.

My son (8) also got to play Beast at Enchanted Tales.
He pronounced Belle is favorite princess of the trip.

Hmmmm...ok. We have an ADR for lunch at BOG and I was thinking about meeting tink because both boys loved the fairy movies when they were little, but was wondering about the enchanted tales thing....so it's more of a show, then? I will look it up on youtube.

I WISH I could get them to do more princess stuff, but they are already groaning about it so I figure I will have to limit it to one thing at MK. Wish there was a pixie hollow like in DL - we took our older son there when he was 4 and he was COMPLETELY SMITTEN with the fairies. Best pics ever.

Yes, Enchanted Tales is a re-telling of the story acted out by guest volunteers. It's pretty cute and worth doing at least once. They may be groaning now, but they might find themselves caught up in the Disney magic.

Tinkerbell is also fantastic and definitely worth a visit! Ask her what she's working on with her friends Clank and Bobble.

Yes, one of the best things of our first trip for my son, then 5, was Snow White leaving lipstick on his cheek. He felt really special. I also felt that they were especially nice to him, being a boy... (although, maybe they were equally nice to the girls too, we didn't have one then, we just presented activities as non-gender specific)

I completely agree. When my son was 6, meeting Cinderella and Aurora was a highlight. They both left lipstick prints on his cheeks and he wandered around the rest of the day covering his cheeks with his hands so they didn't get washed off by the rain. They went out of their way to make it special for him. He is 14 now and I couldn't talk him into many princess visits. (sniff, sniff) Here is my favorite pic from that day.

We did not meet any princesses last year (boys were 3 and 6). This year though we are going to meet Merida. The boys like Brave and I hear she has a fun meet and greet and the kids can practice shooting a toy bow and arrow.

Not the princesses, my son has met them all because he has an older and younger sister, but my son really enjoyed his interaction with the Ugly Step Sisters. Made for great video and pictures.
He also enjoys eating at Be Our Guest.

I don't know about the 11yr old, but my boys all loved the Little Mermaid ride, I think we went on it 3 or 4 times because there's not usually a long wait and it's cool and brightly colored.
