Best MK Fireworks spot to grab 30 min prior and still see castle projections!

Is this possible? Has anyone tried watching them near the bypass exit corridor? Have heard some reports that there can be more breathing room back there if planning to snag a spot 30 min or less prior and can still see the projections. Others say that spot gets packed too. Would be ideal for us since most of our party will be coming from TRON LLSP just before.

On a recent trip we had dinner at the Plaza at like 8 or 8:30 and finished just as fireworks started. We were able to stand right at the entrance to the Plaza and catch the fireworks and see most of the castle projections. The area in front of the plaza is kept clear as a walk way for most of the lead up to fireworks so you might be able to slip in by hanging out near the plaza stroller parking or another nearby area and then move in as the start gets closer.

Or even book a late reservation at plaza and just get a sundae or something and then be done just as fireworks start.

the first time we wanted to see the extended ones down main street, we went to the confectionery and we didn't have to stand there for 30 min......but with a 9pm show and our first Tron LLSP at 8:40, it was HORRENDOUS getting from there to squeeze into the LL by 9:40

When are you visiting? I agree that 30 mins will be cutting it very close to get an unobstructed view but July 20th and later will be nearly impossible as guests will also be staking out spots for the nighttime parade.

June 20th. Kids wanna do nighttime TRON & TBA. So current plan is LLSP for TRON, ride 8:30-8:45 when dark enough. One of parents/grandparents will try to scope out a spot for HEA (9:20 this night) ? on 1) Tomorrowland bridge if no tree blocking castle 2) Behind a fence/planter near hub if luck out 3) Near bypass exit/Plaza. If all else fails we may hike it over and watch on bridge near TBA. Then we hope to do a end of the night TBA +/- LLMP while the herds leave. And then exit more leisurely. Best laid plans, haha.

I feel for whoever has to defend spots. I’ve completely given up trying to watch the fireworks unless I can be off to the side by the bridge between Liberty Square and Frontierland. It’s just so crowded to even be enjoyable.

Next to impossible for others to hold spots that close to fireworks, or for you to be able to reach them while weaving through a sea of well packed guests. You’d be far better off to try to purchase a LLSP for after the fireworks. Guaranteed dark and not asking others to hold spots for fireworks. Allow the crowds to leave while you ride Tron.

Also, not sure about FL but I was out at 9PM this evening and noticed how light it still was. Jun 29th is almost longest day of year. If ‘dark’ is impirtant, not sure you’ll experience that at 8:45.

In other posts you've mentioned you'll be a group of 8 (4 parents/grandparents) and 4 kids). There is no way one or two people can hold a spot for up to 7 additional people. There will be many others looking for a place to view the fireworks and projections so so any empty spaces with a good view of both will fill quickly. Also, it will be almost impossible for any attraction riders to get through the crowds to your spot just before fireworks.

An alternate plan might be for those who want to see the fireworks and projections to find a spot and those who want to ride attractions do those and arrange a meet up place for after the fireworks.

Hearing everyone loud and clear. Thinking of pivoting to TRON LLSP AFTER fireworks. Or maybe TRON 8:45/9 and fireworks after in Fantasyland. Then end of the night TBA.
