Need some different opinions on MK's best counter service please. We always seem to eat at Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Rays because my DH likes the toppings bars. Any suggestions for something new?:goodvibes

Our favorite is Columbia Harbour House. The kids like the fried fish, chicken and french fries. DH and I like the tuna salad sandwich. Looking forward to also trying their new salads next time. I guess we like it because it has things for our now Disney adult kids and something somewhat healthy for us. OH, the chilli is really good too.

I second the CHH suggestion. It's one of my fav CS locations in all of WDW. The food is different from the usual burger fare. I like the fried fish, fried shrimp, Lighthouse sandwich (hummus, tomato, and broccoli slaw) and Anchors Away Sandwich (tuna).

Also, the upstairs seating area seems much calmer and low key compared to Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's, even when it's crowded.

I also like CHH.....love their tuna sandwich.
DH was happy to see a lobster roll on their new menu.

We finally tried Pinocchio's on our last trip and enjoyed it. We had the chicken parmesan (sp) with spaghetti. It made it feel more like a meal than just a quick bite to eat.

Another vote for Columbia Harbour House. The tuna sandwich is really good and a nice change of pace from normal themepark fare. The LIghthouse sandwich is tasty too if you're looking for someplace different.

Thanks for the suggestions. We've never been to Columbia Harbour House. It will be nice to try something different. The menu looks great! :thumbsup2

We love Columbia Harbour House as well. I love their tuna sandwich and DH likes the chowder. I tried the Lobster Roll last trip and it was very good as well.

Our family also enjoys Columbia Harbor House. We always get the Fried Shrimp Basket or the Garden Harvest Salad. I would recommend dining on the second level, great views to people watch while you eat.

We have tried Pinnochio haus and loved it! Our last trip we did the lunching pad....(I think)never again! I think this next time I want to try CHH

My fish and shrimp (both times) were greasy at CHH (maybe off days?) But, our favorite is Cosmic Rays - especially ribs and chicken :)

I like Tortuga Tavern because it's different and because it is so rarely open that I feel like I've won the lottery when it is

I like Pinocchio Village Haus because we fell in love w Figaro Fries and even after they were gone, we were just hooked on the awesome theming. They make a great meatball sub and now they have pasta - w meatballs or chicken parmigiana

Casey's for the hotdogs.... just gotta go there

Cosmic Rays for the Chicken and Ribs Combo, DS loves the chicken sandwich and just about anything there. The wrap is great, but I think they've turned it into a sandwich now...love Sonny Eclipse. It's just tradition at this point.

Columbia Harbour House used to have a kids grilled chicken salad that DS loved. I think they've changed it. The fish and chips are good, but not as good as Yorkshire - Uk @ Epcot or Cookes of Dublin @ DTD

as you can see I have a hard time choosing.

We finally made it back to CHH last trip after a few years. We had a good meal and great seating. I reviewed it in my QSDP review (link below) but basically my DM had the salmon, broccoli, and couscous and my DD12 and I each had the shrimp. We had 3 of the apple desserts. This was one of the few times we didn't share 2 meals between us and we had so much food leftover. The apple desserts were very good. :goodvibes

Here's some pix.

I tasted this meal and it was all very good! :goodvibes Good flavor and hot. The broccoli was good just right too.

We also had something new for us at Pecos Bills-the Taco Salad. Again, we shared this as it was pretty big once we added the toppings. So good in fact that DD and I had it again on our last night-with an order of onion rings (a SC!)

Wow, I have never been to CHH but will definatley be going!!

Another vote for Pinnochio Village Haus in MK. We really liked the food and the atmosphere. I've heard a lot of great things about Columbia Harbour House. We're going to have to eat there on our next trip.

I've never been either. But after the the pic of the salmon I know where I'll be headed next time, it looks so good! :cloud9:

Until I get to try CHH I have always favoured Cosmic Rays.

My husband and I really like Columbia Harbor House. It's a great break from the day - make sure you go upstairs and sit by the windows overlooking Frontierland... what a reprieve!

The food is quite good, too, with different options than some of the other counter service. Fried shrimp, fish, chicken, but also tuna or hummus sandwiches, and new this year are salmon, salads, and a lobster roll!

I'd highly suggest it!

Has anyone tried the Sunshine Tree Terrace for a QS. I thought it was only smoothies etc but allears.net says they have asian salads, curry chicken etc! It sounds like a good change to the burgers we ususally get at Pecos Bills.
