We have a toddler so we don't want to spend the time to sit down for proper meals at MK, so what are the best places or counter food? (we will at Epcot, but this is our compromise!)
My family really liked Pecos Bill's in Frontierland. We use the vouchers and usually get burger fries and chocolate cake. Its really good for a theme park burger, plus they have a fix'ins bar with just about anything you could want to but on a burger (or hot dog.)
Pecos Bills: As mentioned above, GREAT toppings bar. I love being able to put on what I want and how much. The burgers are one of the best on property.
Columbia Harbour House: Great sandwiches. Always seating available. If you go upstairs there is a wing that overlooks the path from Liberty Square to Fantasy Land. It usually is empty and it is quite quiet and peaceful.
Cosmic Ray's - there's a huge selection of foods (including kosher), it's big enough that you can usually get tables inside, and the entertainment is pretty good - especially for kids. Great burger fixin's bar too.
I'll weigh in for Cosmis Ray's too! Usually about lunch time I'm in the mood for something cold. They have an awesome Chicken Ceasar Salad there. Only costs like $6.50 and it is huge! Pecos Bills is good too, been there a bunch, but Cosmic Rays is our stop now.
Cosmic Ray's (you wouldn't believe how many times it took me to type cosmic, what is WRONG with me) and especially my new favorite, El Pirata y El Perico. I really liked their empanadas and chips and salsa.
Peco's Bill's! We ate there with our toddler in May. We got one double burger meal, one extra bun, one kids meal and drinks all around. We had more than enough! And we aren't light eaters!
I love the sauteed mushrooms, I eat them on the side!
My family has to eat at Columbia Harbor House every time we go to WDW! They have good vegetarian chilie and a good salad, and for the fried food folks the chicken and fish is good (but not as good at UK on Epcot!). What we like the best is the upstairs seating - we always try to sit and overlook the walkway between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. There are always seats, and it's very well themed and peaceful. We go as much for the atmosphere as the food, but it so happens at Disney you can usually find both together like here, and Tusker House in AK. Enjoy!!
Cosmic Ray's has great burgers with fixin's bar and a roasted chicken meal with mashed potatoes and veggies (enough for 2 people). My only complaint is that the kids' meal is mini corn dogs instead of a hamburger.
Columbia Harbor House has a great area to sit upstairs in the cool a/c. Good kid meal options too.
