Hi everyone! Just back from the world, and wanted to offer our experience here..

We searched and searched for a van deal for our mid-october rental, but the cheapest I was finding was about $400. Since we didnt truely NEED a van (we just preferred one) I stuck with my mid-size reservation through Alamo, which I had for $75 plus tax, totalling about $130 all in for the week.

We flew into Sanford, and upon arrival I asked if they had an awesome deals on a van... the guy checked and said he could give it to me for $10 more a day, which I quickly agreed to.

So we ended up renting a van for a week for $200 - half price from what I was finding using codes. I would NOT recommend risking it if you need a van, but if you are just hoping for one, it doesnt hurt to ask.

Just checked the rates again this AM. My ressie went down $30! My new grand total is $264.81 for the dates of 11/11 - 11/20. Pretty exciting!

I rebooked my reservation with Alamo today for $202.
November 12th - 19th.
7 passenger minivan.
Used their SUNPROMO code (15% off a weekly rental) and the $25 off BJs code.

As has been stated before, fiddling with the pickup/dropoff times can make a huge difference.

Thank you SO MUCH!! Ended up with Mini Van from 11/10-11/22 for $406.65!

We were previously booked with Budget for around $350 which only covered our first 8 days. So happy to now have our entire trip covered!! WOOT!

I used "SUNPROMO" in the contract ID section and used AD2724FZA in the coupon section. Unfortunately, it looks like the incredible rates I was seeing earlier today are now gone. My only suggestion would be to just keep checking the different codes....everyday, if you can. And of course, keep checking back here, too! Lately, it seems just when I think I have the best deal possible, someone shares some new information and BAM....I've knocked another $20 or $30 off my reservation.

No, thank YOU. I didn't even think of combining the SUNPROMO Code with the insiders $35 off, and now it dropped my rate to $189.xx with all the taxes and fees! That is an awesome rate for a full week minivan rental.

I checked again this morning, and it looks like the rates have shot up again. It pays to check daily and several times a day.

Yes. It is right on the front page of the Alamo website.

Under the "Alamo Rental Car Specials" on the right, it is the one that says "Soak Up the Sun and Save 15%"
