Best Mickey & Friends Character Meal

I'm surprising DS7 with a quick trip. We'll do mostly QS, but I would like to do one character meal. DS is really only interested in Mickey and friends - no princesses, no Pooh. Which restaurant would recommend based on character interaction? Quite honestly, the food is secondary. This is intended to be least stressful way to get a quick visit with his favorite characters. Thanks!

We've done breakfast at Tusker House in AK and Garden Grill in Epcot and really enjoyed them both. Tusker House is a buffet and the characters are dressed in safari gear - Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy (no Minnie). Garden Grill is family style and features Mickey (in his farmer outfit), Pluto, and Chip & Dale. We enjoyed the food and characters at both! Both restaurants also do lunch and dinner, but I've only done breakfast.

Our family favorite is Garden Grill. It's served family style, so no worries about missing characters while at the buffet. It has a lovely view of The Land ride below. Mickey is in his farmer suit! Chip, Dale, and Pluto are there. Even as all adults, we have great character interaction there. They usually stop by more than once to our table!!

I was going to recommend the 2 restaurants mentioned above as well. At Tusker House with them dressed in safari garb its cool. Garden Grill has its own advantage. Its smaller so instead of seeing the characters once and that's it if you take an hour or so to eat you will see all of them 2 or 3 times.

when are you going?? if he is a fan of mickey and friends and food doesnt matter, I would suggest Minnie's seasonal dine @ Hollywood & Vine in HS- it is minnie, mickey, donald, daisy and goofy dressed in costumes for whatever time of year it is!! I'm going in December and cant wait to see Goofy Santa and the gang dressed in their Christmas finest!!!

we've done CM, H&V and Tusker House. Tusker had the best food; we did breakfast, too many picky eaters in the family. H&V we did Minnie's Holiday Dine and loved the characters in their Christmas garb; character interaction was the best
Was a great experience, except for the creepy couple near us that had 2 stuffed animals (not Disney) in chairs at the table and took pictures with the them, their stuffed animals and the characters.

We're going early November. Looks like before the switch to Christmas, but could be lots of fun to get Halloween pics! This looks like availability may fit best into our very tentative schedule, too. Thanks!!

Definitely tusker house. And hopefully you will see that it is the exception to sacrificing food for characters!
