We just got back from our 3rd cruise - it was on the 2/29 Wonder. My DH had made magnetized signs for our door from a Disney clipart site - one said "Fred & Diana Dining on the Wonder" and it had Mickey, Minnie & friends at a big table with a surrounding feast. Another had Goofy and Mickey looking seasick saying "Got your sea legs yet?" The last night we took these signs around to our favorite people and had them autograph them and write a little note. Our servers, the Chef at Tritons, maitre d' at Palo, our waiters at Cadillac Lounge(we went there every night) and the pianist at Cadillac Lounge. We had Captain John sign the "seasick" one and he thought it was very clever.
We took our own champagne and glasses to Castaway Cay and enjoyed sitting on the beach, gazing at the Wonder.
A "must do"-Art of Entertainment Series. They had Don "Ducky" Williams drawing all the characters and telling how he got hired and talked about working for Disney. He's head of the art dept that makes all the brochures, etc. for WDW. He sketched a great drawing of Lumiere for me and signed it. What a treasure!
Instead of using our KTTW card for locking the safe, we brought along an old dept store card, then just hid it in a certain spot in the drawer. It worked great and was always handy.
Instead of spending time writing our memories down, we took a hand held recorder and each night we just talked about everything we did during the day. Now that we're back, we can take time and write it down in a journal.
I wore my Minnie ears most of the time - a great conversation starter!
One thing we didn't like - that awful feeling the morning of debarkation. Has anyone got a cure for that?!!
