What do you wear (mainly shorts/capris) to Animal Kingdom, knowing you are going to get soaked on the rapids? I have tried a few different shorts/capris when going, with no success because for the rest of the day my pants are damp or even soaked. What material have you found that dries quickly? I have down a few searches online but it sends me to websites that my thunder thighs will not fit into :lmao: I am cursed with thunder thighs and with being 6ft. tall finding clothes to fit is always an unpleasant challenge!

Being 5' 9" (mostly leg), I felt I could relate to your dilemna :) I found a great resource for travel/workout wear which took us through our last Disney trip - August '08 right during Hurricane Fay! Plenty of wet weather plus the usual water rides...LOL... it's called Lucy.com They're a retailer based out of CA, with retail stores across the US but not near me in NY, so I order online. They have terrific "tall" length clothing (for 5' 9"' and up) plus tunic length T's, etc., pretty much all casual wear. The quality is great and I love everything I've ever bought from them. I've also found that more sports-oriented clothes (tennis, golf, etc.) are usually made of anti-wicking, quick dry material. I've even had success finding a few things at Lands End and Kohl's. Good luck!

I too am tall, 5'10" and have had good luck with things I've purchased from champion.com......good luck.

Nylon shorts dry the fastest, but can also be the hottest to wear - they don't breathe well. I would look in the activewear department of your local stores to see if they have any that you find suitable.

Good luck!

I wear a pair of plain mens swimsuit bottoms. They work fine for me and dry quick.

For a top, I wear a lightweight tank top (I started looking for a moisture wicking top last week but haven't found one yet) and my moisture wicking sports bra.

I dry quickly and am comfortable.

Check out REI. They have 'quick dry' clothes. My husband wore his convertable pants/shorts our entire first trip. We went on KRR...we both got soaked. He was dry in a matter of a few minutes...I however had jean shorts on and remained wet until we got back to our resort to change:mad:. I plan on doing some online shopping on rei.com before our next trip!

I usually wear my tankini and board short to AK, knowing that I will be soaked after the ride.

I'd recommend board shorts - go for mens' board shorts as they're typically more roomy in the thigh. The board shorts will dry quickly. Unfortunately they don't breathe well, so I suggest wearing the board shorts only on days when you expect to get wet (AK, water parks, etc)

Make sure that you avoid cotton underwear and opt for a quick drying fabric, or alternatively, pack an extra set of underwear. Otherwise you'll end up with partially dry shorts and damp undies - not at all comfortable.
