Hello,
I wanted to ask you other girls out there what kind of make-up do you wear to the parks in the heat if any? I'm not too crazy about Bare Esccentuals but have to wear at least a little make up to look good. I'm hoping it doesn't sweat off my face in the September humidity. I want to look good in my pictures so wearing none is not and option. Thanks.

If I have a nice pink glow from the sun, I sometimes just wear eyeliner, but... since the sun is so hot, I don't think I will go without sun protection. I usually use a very light creme/powder foundation that has SPF in it. It doesn't even feel like it's on. I think it's by Maybelline or CoverGirl ($7-9). I hate the feel of heavy, liquid foundations, esp. in summer.

I don't know the exact name but my mom took some makeup that was recommended on a tv show for the best in humid weather. It is made by Cover Girl and half the bottle is a white color and the other half is the foundation color that you want. She really liked it and said it worked great.

Good luck!!

No makeup...just sunscreen on my face, SPF lipgloss and sunglasses. Believe me, I wear makeup all the time, but not in WDW. I'm not concerned about looking good when I'm hot, sweaty, and riding It's a Small World. :rotfl2:

I love MAC Face & Body. It's sheer, but very buildable. It's the most natural looking makeup I've ever worn. I've worn it to other makeup counters to test blushes and bronzers, and the makeup artists always ask me what I'm wearing. Fabulous stuff! Can't get it at a MAC counter, though, you have to go to a MAC store or buy it online.

I've never tried BE makeup, but I really like Philosophy's mineral makeup. I believe it's called Airbrushed Canvas. The coverage is amazing! It feels sooo light, but it didn't budge an inch in the Florida heat!

I used the Neutrogena tinted face lotion with SPF 30 and it stayed looking nice. Make sure any eye makeup is waterproof!

Face makeup for me is out... anywhere during the summer months. I just get some tint from the sun, but can do the same with a little bronzer (lightly).

Always use Covergirl's Marathon Mascara.. waterproof and makes my lashes nice & long :cutie: Also I use a waterproof eyeliner, two good ones that truly stay on is N.Y.C. brand & also one by Prestige.

Good Luck... and have fun :goodvibes

Revlon long lasting eye liner and waterproof mascara. A little lip gloss (with SPF) and I'm good to go!!! Any more than that and I feel it melting off my face!

I wear Dermablend. I think it's sold on HSN, now. Used to be sold on QVC & by snail mail.
It is a cover make up for persons with scars or blemishes. I have a bit of rosacea & not only does it cover, but when used properly (with the setting powder) you can swim in it!
It is a heavier make up & should be applied with a patting action.

I also wear waterproof mascara or false eyelashes. I feel like Minnie sets the trends & I need to follow-

Pour moi--I am older, overly 'voluptuous' (by about XX pounds!) & have skin like the lunar surface, which means whether at WDW in July or out to the mailbox, I am in full battle dress. :scared:

Thanks to my vanity, your small pets will thrive & your children will grow to a healthy adulthood! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I usually wear mac foundation, I lkie the cream to powder but it is too heavy and will probably melt right off. I will try one of the tinted moisturzers and some waterproof mascara most likey. I need a little something on my face because I do not sun my face at all. :goodvibes

Clinique's Cityblock is another sunscreen/light foundation combo I have liked. Very light and very sheer...but some coverage.

This is what I did in Jamaica andIwas happy with how it well it worked...

I used Mary Kay's dual coverage powder foundation. It feels light and smooth and the powderyness seems to hold up to sweat and oil better than full coverage foundations. I concentrated on applying it under my eyes and around the sides of my nose (where I need it most, to cover under eye cirlces and capillaries)...and sweep a little bit all over the rest of my face.

Then I used a little eyeliner and maybe a tinted lip balm or gloss and maybe some waterproof mascara...it was a "natural look", but looked much better than I do naturally. :)

Oh--and I used moisturizer with sunscreen in it.(Mary Kay of course). And I often blotted the sweat with a tissue just before posing for a photo, to cut down on the shine.

Just eye makeup in the summer. However, my Grandma wears Estee Lauder and lives in the South. She swears by it and even when she would wipe her forehead with a white kleenex it did not come off. :sunny:

Bare Escentuals foundation! Like all BareMinerals products, it is a powder and has great coverage. It is like wearing nothing at all and contains an SPF15. I use the Mary Kay skin care products (moisturizer contains SPF as well) but now that I've discovered Bare Escentuals, I switched over to their foundation / face colors!

Another Bare Escentuals fan here. I switched to this about a year ago. I live in the hot, humid South & it holds up great!!

I don't use foundation of any kind in the summer, especially at WDW. I use lipstick w/SPF and a little shadow on the eyes. Since I'm not a big fan of waterproof mascara, I found a little trick: I put mascara on as I usually would, but then put a very light coat of waterproof over it. It seals in my regular make-up, without making it impossible to remove. I never thought of looking for waterproof eyeliner, but my Loreal pencil liner stays on pretty well for at least the morning--by afternoon we are at the pool and it doesn't matter anyway. The shadow and liner seem to "wear" off, rather than smear or run all over my face!
