Hey everyone,

I was hoping to get recommendations on how to best use one of my group's DxDDP TS credits for lunch on a day where we'll be starting in MK. We're not opposed to leaving the park in favor of a meal at the Poly, Contempo or GF before heading back later in the day. We love our food, so we are willing to monorail somewhere if popular opinion says that's where the best food in the area is.

As always, I appreciate your help and your opinions!

We like the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's a nice break from the park and they have really good food.

I really enjoyed our meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK, we also ate at the CRT in the castle, the food was pretty good there too. If you go on the monorail, I would say my favorite was Ohana in the Polynesian.

If you want to stay in the MK then Liberty Tree Tavern is a very nice choice. While it's not a "gourme" meal, there is something nice to sitting down to a family style meal with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and a few other good ole fashion American dishes.

If you are a big fan of meats and want to leave the park then I would recommmend Ohana. I love this place. There has been some mixed opinions of Ohana and it almost scared me. I'm glad I ignored them; we love this place and is a must do for my family.

The Plaza in MK would be a good option worth considering. They have very good sandwiches and fantastic desserts. We really enjoyed our meal there last year and had excellent service - we are planning on returning this year.

We've enjoyed dinner several times at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian but last month we tried lunch there for the first time and also really enjoyed it. Nice service and the food was good as well. This restaurant has remained consistently good on all of our visits. If you go at a little off time at lunch it was not crowded. It's an easy monorail ride also from the MK.

If you don't want to leave the park I'd recommend Liberty Tree Tavern. I love the pot roast.

I second going over to Kona at the Poly!!! Great food & not too crowed at lunch time. It is such a nice break from the park!!! They have awesome desserts too! You won't be dissappointed!!!:thumbsup2

If you dont want to leave the park, i would second the Plaza restaurant. It has really good sandwiches and burgers. Desserts a plus too. If you want more food, LTT is a very good option too. Outside the park, Grand Floridian cafe has alot of options and we love Kona Cafe too.
