Best Lunch at a Resort

Hi all,

We are getting to WDW very early on a Sunday in early May. Hoping for suggestions for some great lunch spots at a resort as we are not going to a park that day? We plan on dinner at Disney Springs so that is covered. We are not picky and have no dietary restrictions. I've tried to research this myself and came up with maybe Geyser Point or Sanaa?

We want to go to Sanaa during our AK day, so any other spots?

Beaches & Cream — hands down my favorite, and the Boardwalk is entertaining
Another on our list! We are actually doing a split stay, 3 nights at SSR and 2 nights at the Boardwalk so we may go there later in the trip, or check it out on the first day! Thanks for the input!

We enjoyed our lunch at Primo Piatto (QS) at Riviera, especially the Tuna Niçoise Salad. Take the bus to DHS and Skyliner to Riviera.

If you like thin crust pizza, Blaze Pizza in DS is very good... you choose all the toppings from a very wide selection, fresh, reasonably priced. Walk from SSR.

Primo piatto is such a great spot for a qs lunch. We’ve left hs via skyliner to get lunch there before.

I think Sanaa is a good choice. The food is good (I happen to like Indian cuisine) and the animal viewing experience is unmatched. Remember that one can stroll Animal Kingdom Lodge (both interior and exterior) for animal views.

Geyser Point is nice and easy on arrival day because it’s nice to sit out by the water.

Depending on the time you arrive, Grand Floridian Cafe‘s menu is more brunch like. We usually eat here on arrival day because there’s something for everyone. ( we usually get to the GF around 10-11)

Has the Boardwalk entertainment/activities opened up now? I was there end of Oct. and there was absolutely nothing open on the Boardwalk itself - a complete ghost town outside.
No, none of the entertainers are out on the boardwalk, and the games are still closed. The only activity at night is movies under the stars on the Village Green.

I also recommend Geyser Point - I try to make it there every visit. As others have said, Primo Piatto at Riviera is a good choice for QS (I love the tomato soup and croque monsieur), as well as the Grand Flo Cafe.

Here is another recommendation for Sanaa. The restaurant is terrific and there are lots of places to enjoy animal viewing at both Kidani and Jambo.

The answers to this thread remind me of a work email - LOL.
I do wonder where you are staying. We're not big in QS. We've never been to Beaches and Cream because the noise level was beyond my comfort zone. The Dolphin has a comfortable outside eating area by the pools and I love their food. Geyser Point is a nice relaxing place. The rest of the places we've eaten lunch are either in a park, at the Springs or currently closed.

Thanks everyone! I think we want to try Geyser Point, but are we allowed to go to another resort without reservations during Covid restrictions?
