Have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old and want to be close to parking, transfers and pool? Where do I want to request to be...never stayed at SSR before? Thanks ;)

You park at your building. Each section has a pool of its own. There are multiple bus stops at SSR. Kind of centered in each section.

You want to request The Springs. It is right across from the main pool area. They'll love it!

The Springs is the closest to the main pool. We stayed at Congress Park and loved it. My kids were 3 and 6 and it was a 5 min. walk to the main pool. We also used the private pool that was in our "backyard". Also a beautiful view of DTD which we walked to on a few occasions , also a 5 min. walk. I would recommend either one just make sure you don't get The Paddocks!

We loved the Springs for the close proximity to the main pool (water slide is a must for my children!), and being close to Artist's Pallette. THe only draw back was that the bus stop for the Springs was the last stop for the resort going to the main parks, and was usually full, sometimes standing room only, which may be an issue with the younger travelers. However, we've found that people are usually pretty good about getting up for young children (but that's a topic for a different discussion!)

Springs is the closest to Artist Palette and the main pool. With young children the main pool is excellent because of the zero entry and the small waterslide, my 2.5 year absolutely loved it. We stayed in 3505 and it was a perfect location, just steps away from everything...bus stop, community hall, main pool and Artist Palette.

We are going for the first time in June and our friends who have been there numerous times with young children told us to definitely request the Springs to be close to the big pool and Artist Palette. Also, there is no guarantee that you will get what you request.

You definitely want to stay at the Springs. We stayed there this past October with 4 little ones and we were within a 5 minute walk of everything:
the main swimming pool, the restaurant, the cafeteria, the general store & gift shop, the bus stop, the community hall, the main lobby, the arcade, the place for bike rentals and the bus stop.

The main swimming pool is really nice; it has a very cool slippin slide, 2 hot tubs, a zero entry area for the little ones, a Donald Duck play area and best of all... a cocktail bar that serves wonderful frozen drinks !!!

Good Luck -

Joe

Well, true it is farthest from the main pool -but-only took 5 minutes to walk to over the bridge so not really that far-, the Paddocks is the first bus stop coming and going so you always get a seat!! Well worth it to me!! And we loved it!! Had our own pool right beside our building and it was wonderful.:cloud9:
