Best location at OKW

We rented some points from BIL, a DVC member, for our June vacation. We have a one bedroom condo for the three of us: myself, DH and DS-15.

I'm wondering if it's possible to request a specific location at the resort, and if so, which would be a good, central location - close to the bus and pool(s)

With that age group, you might want to request one of the buildings that has the second entrance to the bathroom from the living room.

As the previous poster stated, there was a design change midway through construction at OKW. Bldgs 29 and under have one entrance to the bathroom, through the master bedroom. Bldgs 30 and over have bathroom entrances through the master bedroom and the laundry room.

Bldgs 30 and over would include the Turtle Pond area and the South Point area. There are 5 bus stops and 4 pools located throughout OKW, so almost every bldg is pretty convenient.

We stayed in the peninsular section. Blg # 26...the bus stop was just outside our door. Olivia' and the pool was just a short walk over the bridge.
Outside the patio we had a nice view of fountain and golf course.

Remember though, that the Peninsular Rd cluster and bldgs 11-14 are now part of the "close to HH" booking category, and really need to be booked at the time of the reservation.

Our home is BCV but we always stay at OKW because the rooms are bigger. I have a boy 11 and a 16 yr old girl. We like to stay near the turtle pond pool in the bldg #'s 40-44. It's near the bus,the pool (with a snack bar), the grill to cook out and its quite at night.

What's nice about OKW is that anywhere at the resort is a great place to stay. There is a bus stop at several locations, so you can always hop a bus to the Hospitality House or to a theme park or even hop a bus back to your location. Turtle Pond has a nice non-themed pool with a counter service dining facility (limited choices, though).

When will you be at OKW? We'll be there in June (7-14) with our son who is just about 15.

Sounds like I need to request a bedroom with a separate entrance to the bathroom for sure! I'll look into the other locations as well.
