Headed to Disney first part of October -- first trip and COMPLETELY overwhelmed!

We are not staying on resort so we are not doing meal plans and in fact are probably going to eat OFF the resort more times than not. Having said that, I owe it to my 2 girls (ages 2 and 5) to do at least ONE Disney character meal (either breakfast or lunch) and since I have no clue, I thought I would get some feedback from those who have been before. It's GOT to be princess themed. I was considering Cinderella's Royal Table because it appears to have all the princesses. Suggestions, comments--?

Also, we were thinking of doing one dinner show and/or nice sit down meal that would be pleasant for my husband and I (i.e.--decent food, not noisy/filled with characters) but still be relatively "kid friendly" --(Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show? Ohana? Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot?)--again, clueless.

Can I find menus somewhere???

ANY suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated. I've (thankfully) been clued in about making ADR's 180 days out. I've got about a week to go before I have to start calling -- so bring on the comments/suggestions and THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Went last Dec and much preferred akershus breakfast over CRT lunch.

Akershus included a photopackage with belle, then snow white, ariel, sleeping beauty and cinderella came around.

CRT had a photo package with cinderella then belle (blue dress), jasmine, snow white and sleeping beauty came around.

allears has menus and prices.

My husband and daughter loved Ohana. Kids could order their own kids meal or eat the ohana food. Food esp the steak was good so hubby happy.

DD who was just under 4 enjoyed learning to hula, got a lei, did a parade around with instruments (whilst hubby ate!)

The Princess Dinner in Norway is one of the best. There is a cold buffet for appetizers that will please just about any one. Normal kids food and great choices for the adults. On our last trip we saw Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Ariel.

We ate at the Coral Reef last month. It was great. I loved that they included fish of the day on the kid's menu. There were divers in the tank while we were eating and my kids were so fascinated.

My favorite restaurant on our last trip was Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lounge. The food was amazing. DH and I walked out feeling so full. The coconut rice is the amazing. I couldn't stop eating it.
