I was wondering what everyone considers a good meal deal ie... most bang for your buck? What Counter Service kids meals are plentiful but affordable and where?
Trying to strategize.:teacher:

For my family at MK, the counterservice places we frequent the most at MK are Columbia Harbor House & Pecos Bills, If you want a hamburger you can't beat Bill's, The sit down places, that you will get the most bang for your buck at MK for my family are Crystal Palace & Liberty Tree, you can't go wrong at either one, but the we always eat breakfast at CP & Supper at LT.

At Epcot it's a little easier as far as Counterservice goes, the Counterservice at the Land pavillion is the BEST IN ALL WDW, truly amazing! For sit down, that's harder to say, we personally love MExico, and France, but you'll probably get more bang for you buck at Norway or Germany.

I see the family picture, but you don't say how old your kids are. Are they willing to split meals? My family of 4 (me, DH, DS10 and DD7) would often get two adult half-rotisserie chicken meals (either from Cosmic Ray's in MK or The Land in EP) and then split them between all four of us. The folks always gave us extra (small) plates when asked. Also, an extra serving of veggies was only $2. We usually got one order of extra veggies with each adult meal we planned to split. The veggies were usually carrots, green beans, or a combo. If we didn't get extra veggies, we got a bowl of chopped fruit to split between the four of us. We bought milk for the kids, got (free) cups of water for us...I think our lunches averaged between $25 and $30 total.

Of course, I have kids who are used to eating Real Food (chicken, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes...), so this worked well for us. DH has chronic digestive problems and has to limit fried food, so I had to figure out where all he could eat. Oh, a lot of these same places will do a kid's meal of a rotisserie chicken leg with mashed potatoes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, the Dks are DS10,DS8,DD5,DS3,Ds.5
We also limit fried foods. I remember that meal from Cosmic Rays, we had that in 2005. It was very filling!!

We always eat Cosmic Ray's and Columbia Harbour House at MK. Both kids meals are very similar in what you get. Plenty for the money. At Epcot, the only place we will eat counter service is at Electric Umbrella. You get free refills on sodas (they have the soda counter there). We don't personally like the food cart at the land. They have totally changed it over last 2 years, and now it is all ethnic food and not much selection.

We like the Pinocchio Haus right next to It's A Small World because the kids can get a window seat (get there early) and watch the Small World boats load and unload. It calms them down, keeps them entertained, and mommy and daddy get to relax for a few minutes. Also, for dinner, we found that some nights we would go back to the resort room (ASMovies) and my husband would order a large pizza to go (from the food court) and bring our refillable mug. That was cheaper than ordering four individual meals and gave us time to wind down before going to bed.
