Tutto Italia was very good... Food was well prepared and seemed to come from fresh ingredients.... but the portions were small.

I liked Mama Melrose and Tony's but the food was just like a chain Italian restaurant, nothing special. If using the dining plan, I'd go to Tutto Italia. If paying out of pocket, Tony's is less expensive.

I also thought it was kind of weird that the Tutto Italia waiter told us that coffee was not included with the Dining Plan. Why so picky about coffee? Reminded me of a time when I went to an expensive seafood restaurant at the beach and the waitress made a point that that there was an extra charge for blue cheese dressing on my salad... Really? I'm paying nearly $30 an entree and they want to charge me 40 cents or something extra for blue cheese? Are we at Denny's or something? Never went there again.

Being Italian makes me very picky in this area. I like Tutto Italia and I am willing to bet I will like Via Napoli. The other 2 are just plain yuck. I have to admit that I like Olive Garden....just not the red sauces. When I visit Olive Garden, I usually stick with soups and salad or something with a cream sauce and always enjoy my meal.

I voted Tutto Italia!

I don't really go to Disney with the intent of getting fantastic food, that's not really possible on the DDP/FD. Unless you can go to some of the other resorts and try restaurants like Il Mullano, Todd's English's Blue Zoo & Portobellos etc., Disney is limited in quality and choice of food. I preferred Alfredo's, Oh! the good old days, but Tutto Italia isn't bad. I, too also enjoy some of the offerings at restaurants like the Olive Garden, but I judge the quality with respect to the prices charged and my expectations are equal to the level of the restaurant. Infortunately, at Disney the prices often out weigh the quality of the food served, but that's the price you pay for vacationing at popular venues.

I've eaten at Mama Melrose, and I get terible indigestion each time, so it's off my list for good and then Tony's, well enough said!

Many people who live in areas with truly authentic, really good Italian restaurants have posted that all the ones in WDW are disappointing.

So my recommendation would be to either avoid those restaurants, or set your expectations accordingly. They're similar to Olive Garden. That's especially true of Tony's and Mama Melrose.

Good luck!

Had to double thumbs up this advice. Tony's is pretty much the worse restaurant on site by far. I haven't had a chance to try the new Napoli in Epcot.

Just please take Ransoms advice. Tony's and mama's can in no way ever be described as "good" italian. Tony's is pretty much 1 step up from frozen entree ala Ragu
