Hi! It's almost a tradition that my family gets ice cream when we go on vacation and I was just wondering what the best place to have a unique experience was in WDW. Whether it's huge portions, interesting flavors, or just something memorable. This can be in any of the parks or in downtown disney.

And I am aware of Dole Whips already!!! :smooth:

Thanks!

Over at Beaches and Cream - I believe it is called the Kitchen sink, this is made for a crowd.

Mickey ears on a hot day.:cloud9:

Ghirardelli's in DTD has the earthquake sundae with 8 scoops of ice cream, 8 toppings and bananas. Never had it because we order our own individual ice creams there and it's all good, especially their hot fudge! Yum!

Beaches and Creams No Way Jose!

Would like to try The Fountain @ Dolphin.

Ghirardelli in Downtown Disney is fantastic. If you want something a little different then you should try the gelato shop in Coronado Springs resort. Gelato is already a little different than normal icecream but they have some different flavors too. Also, Fountain View in Epcot FW is a good option as well. I've heard recently that that's the next location to be transformed into a Starbucks so to better get there fast haha. You can get huuuge sundaes and the biggest icecream cookie sandwiches I've seen ever! All on the dining plan. Hope this helps :)

I am guessing Beaches and Cream is delicious from pics I've seen and things Ive heard, but if you are in DHS one day, Hollywood Scoops has some very good ice cream. :goodvibes

Beaches and Cream is a must do for our family on every trip. No way Jose is our favorite. We have never done the kitchen sink because everyone is so particular and i think no one wants to share. The sundaes are terrific.

My #1 favorite: Main Street Bakery's homemade ice cream cookie sandwich!!!! But the kid's cone @ Main Street Ice Cream Parlor is really great for kids [& adults who want a smaller size] b/c it has Mickey ears. :) The banana split @ the Plaza is huge & amazing!! Ghirardelli in DTD is a place we always go, but I always over do it & make myself sick w/ too much fudge! They have sundaes that are just a little too huge for me. But the blueberry sundae is incredible!!! :cloud9:

My favorite is probably the caramel-ginger ice cream at Nine Dragons or the Ugly But Good Sundae at Via Napoli (I ask them to make it with pistachio gelato instead of vanilla).

I also really like the ice cream from the French Crepes stand at Epcot.

Beaches and Cream, and Ghirardelli is also nice.

Caramel-ginger Ice Cream.

My kids love the ice-cream cones in France.....they always get them before Illuminations. :thumbsup2 We also like the sundaes in Fantasy Land. We are not hard to please when it comes to ice-cream I guess. :rotfl: I have to have ONE chocolate ice-cream sundae with both the caramel and HOT FUDGE. :woohoo:
