Best hours to explore world showcase on a Monday

Hi-

My husband wants to spend time just exploring world showcase. We are staying at the Board walk so planning on rope drop to extended hours and a break at the pool. Trying to figure out Lunch Dinner Reservations and want to make sure I make them at the right time so we can enjoy world showcase when it's less busy.... thoughts?

I guess it depends on what you mean by "exploring". Its much less busy at rope drop, but there are only two attractions open at that time. So you can walk around the lake and look at the pavilions early without big crowds, but not a lot is open. otherwise, as the day goes on, its what you would normally expect during any Disney day. Restaurants will be most crowded during the typical meal hours. Lots of people will still be around late in the evening, but many of them ae just standing to watch the night show.

You may want to look at the entertainment schedule for the day of your visit. Many of the little performances like the juggler guy in Italy, Sergio or Mairiachi Cobre in Mexico add a lot to the atmosphere of World Showcase and may not have super-early showtimes.

Your question might also depend on which Monday?

Eating at slightly less standard times can always help.... If you're there during a festival (probably F&G based on your question?), we so enjoy grazing at the booths for sampling food and drinks - much more fun sometimes than sitting for a full meal. Maybe lunch before noon, take a pool break until mid-afternoon, and then more grazing 4/5? If that works for you. Are you planning on attractions? Genie+ could be really helpful to allow you to do more later in the day, as well.

But overall, you're probably going to see many people and crowds working around the World Showcase while you're there - even on a Monday. Future World could also feel more crowded since a large percentage is under construction. But as long as you're not pressed for time, it's not a bad way to spend a day!

The Remy ride has definitely thrown the crowds off kilter in the world showcase. I'm not sure if there is a less busy time at world showcase, maybe 11-ish but the nice part about WS is that the pathways are sooooooooo wide, it can absorb a lot of people.

I agree to look at the entertainment schedule. Not all entertainment is performed every day so make sure your must do's perform on your day. Explore each country and try to take your time!

If you get to World Showcase too early in the day, the various countries/shops and food places aren't yet open. I don't know if Disney publishes a schedule of when they all open, but just walking around when you can't go inside the various shops doesn't accomplish much. That pathway around the lake is quite wide, so you aren't all squished together with wall to wall people like some places at other Disney parks.

Unless you are there during a slow period, WS will be busy most of the time. But the paths are wide and generally not too bad.
I agree with checking the entertainment schedule as there is plenty of fun entertainment through out WS. We generally eat just after peak times as that seems to thin out the crowds some.

We usually plan on lunch at 11 and dinner at 5. Restaurants are usually less busy during the off hours. If only doing 1 sit down, we'll eat at 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
