Hiyaaaaa...figured I'd ask this on the UK board.

I need a good (good as in, will recieve much affection upon bringing Monica there) place to stay in London that won't make me go broke (broke as in having to become a male prostitute after she leaves).

Any ideas?

I don't live in the UK, but have been to London many times.
Our favorite hotels have been the Covent Garden Hotel and The Dorchester.
We have also enjoyed The Hempel, which is a great Boutique hotel and the Sanderson Hotel.
If these are out of the price range you wanted to spend I'd also think that The Chesterfield Mayfair would be a good choice.

Unless a hotel has been recomended to you, stay in a well know chain, i.e. Holiday Inn, Travel Inn, Marriott ect. They are some very dodgy hotels in London esspecially central London run by some very dodgy blokes.....You also might want to consider staying outside Central London, hotels are better value and will all have good transport into the City.

I stayed at the Hampshire in Leicester Square a couple of years ago and loved it.

Don't know how expensive it is as we got a special theatre package. We only live 30 minutes away from London but it was wonderful not to have to get the train home after the show.

We always book our London hotels on Expedia.co.uk (they do great deals). I like staying in the Radison Edwardian's, either the one by the British Museum or the one down the road from the Science museum. Both are in great locations and are nice hotels.

We went with expedia.com...it was great!! Two four stars...the Sheraton Heathrow, and an Executive room at the Dolphin Square hotel. The room was HUGE!!! Plus, you can pay in dollars on their site, which is awesome for me, 'cause the exchange rate always whups my butt.

I'm booking that Heathrow for this fall, when we arrive at the AP (both arrival/departure). I've heard it's great too! I also love the Sheraton Park Lane on Piccadilly, across from Green Park (just down from the Ritz). Newly renovated, with all new furnishings, carpet, amenities and those incredible HEAVENLY BEDS...you just can not go wrong! It's a bit pricey, but worth every cent!! :goodvibes :cloud9: Give it a try next time...you'll LOVE it! :flower:
