We'd like to book a hotel for the day we depart the ship in Florida, and am wondering if anyone has any good suggestions. We'd like some place quiet, nice (at least 3-4*), where the kids can swim and relax to prepare for our long flight home the next day. Also, if we book it through DCL, will they take care of our luggage and bring it to the hotel? Thanks! Lisa

Hyatt does have a pool..My suggestion would be Ron John Resort, there is a lot to do there, nice pool, slides, mini-golf..etch...Seems like a perfect way to wind down before the long flight...

Not sure about the luggage, but I do not think so... :goodvibes

Hyatt Grand Cypress just outside of downtown Disney. This Hotel is better than Ritz Carlton imho. We stay here whenver we come down to Disney. The Hotel grounds are breathtaking the pool is something like 800,000 gallons of aquatic bliss. Lots of water falls hidden caves and grottos to swim through and a 65 foot waterslide as well as a kiddy slide. The hotel itself is amazing the atrium is wonderfull and a site to behold. The rooms are quite nice and decorated in a kind of island theme. The service is excellent the staff are very attentive. They also have their own lake which you can rent different kinds of water toy's. You may also go Horseback riding on one of the many trails. I would live at this hotel year round if I could.

How about the Hyatt at the airport? I don't know if they have a pool though...

We stayed there the night after our cruise. The pool is roof top and is awesome! We just sat in there and had planes flying in and out over us all night. It was also great to be at the airport already for our mid morning flight!

Thanks for all the great advice. I'm going to check them all out and see what looks like it will be the best fit! Lisa

We are actually coming off of our 7/24/05 cruise and right now staying at the JW Marriott and Grande Lakes, about 10 minutes from the airport. This is probably one of the best non-Disney properties in Orlando we have ever been to. The JW shares the property with a Ritz-Carlton, so you can utilize the facilities at both hotels. We were able to put our DS in the Ritz Kids club while we have been relaxing with frozen drinks in the lazy river pool. What's great is that is that even though the hotel has over 1,000 rooms, it never feels crowded. A little pricey, but definitely worth it for a luxurious wind-down before heading back into reality.

Ron Jon's Caribe Resort with out a doubt. GREAT pool area!
