What is the best hotel for the night before the Mexican Cruise?

DLR is far from the port. You can get more information asking on the DCL board itself.

In San Pedro there is a Crowne Plaza, about a mile from the port. A Calrion a little further. Also a Hyatt Double Tree, across from the marina that DCL docks at.

We went on a cruise a few years ago out of San Pedro and stayed at the Doubletree. It was great. They have a deal where you can park your car while you stay there. And they have shuttles to the port!

We stayed at the Anabella hotel before our disney cruise in January. It took about and hour to get to the cruise terminal from the hotel. We went the day before our cruose and spent time in DTD.

We are doing DL commando style on the saturday before our cruise leaves on Sunday - we got a great rate o $59 across the street at the desert inn, then will take a shuttle or towncar the next day to port. But if you aren't going to DL, priceline or hotwire something in Long Beach.

You will get your best advice on this in the Cruise forum. There are a lot of very experienced cruisers over there, although I will say most of the information is about Florida departures. Give it a go. You are bound to find some very cool stuff.

I'd also recommend checking out the "cruise meets" threads and looking for your particular cruise. You can probably post in that thread and ask where others on your same cruise are staying. Lots of cool things including something called "fish extenders".

The rates for Super Shuttle are the same as the rates for Disney transportation from the Disneyland Resort. We are doing Disneyland for a few days before the cruise and are staying off site at the Jolly Roger then using Super Shuttle to get to the port. So really any hotel in the Disneyland area will be fine if you are trying to go to the parks before the cruise. Have fun!
