Taking daughter and friend, plus son and friend (all millennials) next May for, probably, 5 nights. Will be total of 6 of us. Daughter's friend has never been to WDW and very excited; everyone else has been numerous times. I can get a GV at BWV (my daughter's favorite resort) for at least 4 nights, but would need to wait until the 7 month window to get the 5th night (few points short). Now, however, I'm wondering, though, should I look at another resort, if I can't really finalize until next month? AKV GV at Jambo or Treehouse at SS? Any other suggestions? TY!

I don’t think anything could be better than a GV at BWV, except maybe a CC Cabin. But the GV has better sleeping arrangements!

The Treehouse is a lot smaller and less glamorous than a GV. But I think it would be great for 6 of you if you wanted to stretch out your points.

Wow, there's no beating that BW GV. I'd consider buying some one time use points if it's just a few short.

If you're going to have to move, I'd rather do the lesser room on the first day.

Or another idea, young adults shouldn't have a problem doing a well-planned split stay. The BLT GV/BW GV split stay is my bucket list trip. The BLT GV is much easier to book, because it's so expensive and also SO glamorous. Also, AKL is easier to book, because there are so many of them.

If you can get into an OKW GV, then that's a great point value and tons of room. SSR GVs are fairly easy to get and a good point value as well (not as good as OKW, but none are).

My brother was in an SSR GV last fall. Absolutely gorgeous! The only drawback is the itty bitty balcony. But if you can look beyond that, it's a very nice GV and it has the Murphy-style sofa bed in the living room!

I would say, though, even if you're planning to book elsewhere, book your home BWV now for the number of nights you can get. Just in case you have trouble booking elsewhere at 7 months!

Thank you, everyone, for your much appreciated advice and suggestions. After more information: they want to hit F&G at Epcot most days, HS will be a major destination, and they all like the ability to run in the morning at the Boardwalk, I think I'm going to book those BWV GV nights which I can (89 points per night and I have 398 BW points, so 4 nights.) I also have another 200 PVB points, which I could use for three studios, just in case I can't get the GV at 7 months. Or, I could borrow a few points from my BW 2022 account and complete the res now. It would only be 27 points. As you all know, trying to make all the pieces fit is a difficult task. TY all for the assistance.

I’d totally just stick with the BWV Grand Villa and borrow the points to ensure you have the full stay. I usually don’t borrow points myself, but in the grand scheme of things, 27 points is a small amount to ensure you get your 5 nights without any stress or having to split stay!
