Be sure to check out the tikiman2001 website. It has detailed info and pictures for each longhouse. Including room number diagrams. It was very helpful for us in planing our May trip. Good luck!

There are several buildings at the Poly that offer great views of the gorgeous gardens. Tokelau is nice because it is centrally located and one side faces the quiet pool and even offers a sidelong, obstructed glance of the Castle. Some people like Samoa because it is across from the Volcano Pool and near the Great Ceremonial House. One side of Fiji looks out over the Marina and even offers a view of a good portion of Seven Seas Lagoon but is still considered garden view.

I like the Ratonga House. It is close to everything. Buses, monorail and the Ceremonial House. We request it each stay.

Hawaii building is all concierge. If you are trying to save $ by choosing Garden view then this might not be the best building to choose.

We stayed in the Fiji building and loved it, super close to marina, main house and the volcano pool

The Hawaii building is the Club Level building. There are garden-view rooms there, but they are a separate "bookable" category with a much higher room rate than a standard GV room.

I believe you can request every building except Hawaii & Tonga for standard GV rooms.

If you ask on the Poly thread, you'll get lots of answers. Also, many people have posted the gorgeous views from their GV rooms there, so you can see what your choices are.:)

When we stayed at the Poly in Sept. '07 we were in Samoa and we thought it was convenient to everything :goodvibes. We were just steps from the volcano pool, GCH, the beach, and Captain Cooks :thumbsup2. We loved the Poly and had a fabulous time there :). Have a magical trip :wizard:.

We have mostly stayed in Garden view rooms, bottom floor and I have never requested the building just bottom floor and we have never been disappointed. One time they placed us is Rapa Nui and I had never heard anything about this building and it was wonderful. We were on the garden view side, quiet mornings sitting on the patio feeding the ducks and then when we got ready to go Dh just pulled up to the building, it is a handicapped accessible building and we loaded the car ourselves in a matter of minutes, no waiting for bell hop or walking all those trips to the car parking lot! You will be pleased no matter what building. Now I am wishing we were staying there! :sad1:
