Our waitlist for Best Friends Pet Care just came through for Christmas Week. The only accommodations they had available was the all-indoor suite. Does anyone on here have any reviews? I see plenty for the VIP suites/Villas, but I can't find any pictures for the indoor one. Also, are there any pet friendly areas in Disney property that we can take pets? (Boardwalk, etc...???)
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't believe there are any places on property you can bring your dog for a walk but BFPC has a great outdoor walking trail and doggie playground. We'll be using them next year for our Lilly Belle.

They also said not to bring bedding for the dogs. I have a mini dachshund, and if you are not familiar with the breed, they like to burrow in blankets to sleep. Will they provide blankets for the dogs?

Thanks

Is this the middle level accommodation? With the tv and bed? We used it and our dog loved it.

No bedding comes in. There was a hammock type bed but no blankets. Helps for flea control. There were toys and things you could buy. There might be a blanket there to buy new and keep in the room. There is a walking trail that was really short but a huge play area where we tossed tennis balls with our dog.

No other areas on property are pet friendly, unfortunately. They send picture updates and we got the doggie yogurt thing for her each night. Overall it was really positive.

No, it's the least expensive one. I wanted the Villa or VIP Suite, but they are booked. I'm on a waiting list for them just in case.

You should be able to drive over to Fort Wilderness and walk the dogs. There are some dog play areas there as well. Just keep him/her on a leash.

Does anybody have any experience trying this if you are not a Ft. Wilderness guest?

We board our or put our dog in for a day at the kennels fairly often at BFPC. We have not experienced any problems. As we are local we also use them for grooming. If you have the indoor kennel it will be quieter for your pup but it only comes with two potty breaks for your pet. Depending on your dog this may or may not be enough, you can add on a play time or walk and explore for an extra cost. I prefer the indoor/outdoor kennel with a little run for the dogs. At least if they want to potty they can go to the outside part, I also feel like there is more going on for my dog with the albeit smaller accommodations with the noise and stimulation of hearing the other dogs. He is a high energy terrier.

My Aussie has stayed here many times. Staff members are very caring. I prefer the VIP but have used Villa too. Winston is usually in a hotel for horse shows but very comfortable here. It is extremely clean I leave his bed, toys & food/treats on each stay. I cannot say enough--except wish more VIP available

I used BFPC many times and I can't say enough good things about this place. I got the all indoor twice because there was nothing left. I expressed my concern on check in at her being in an all indoor and being isolated and so they were really attentive and went the xtra mile to reassure me. I paid a minimal fee for the extra treat, walk and/or bedtime play..they texted me photos a few times a day of the trainer playing with her, and at bedtime too.
I also went over as much as possible to walk her on their property. Its very nice. You can get a cab to take you, it wasn't too pricey.

All of this info is very helpful. I wanted to use BFPC for my Cheddar while we were at WDW over Thanksgiving. I ended up leaving him with my mother and missed him terribly! He is SOOO picky and I wasn't sure if leaving him at BFPC was a good idea. The reviews make me feel better about future trips! He will not eat though unless you hand feed him and he HAS to sleep with several pillows and blankets. Does anybody know if they would be able to accommodate his pickyness?

You'd probably have to call since that's so specific. You'd probably have the best chance with the concierge level for hand feeding if it's a possibility.

Pillows and blankets I don't know. We brought our dog bed and they were really stern on it not being allowed to stay so that they can guarantee a flee free environment. I don't know if they have blankets and pillows to use there.

Thank you! I hate that he is so spoiled...there are personal family reasons though that have caused me to spoil him. He is like one of my kiddos!

That is very understandable. I guess I could ask when I call about the feeding...
I emailed BFPC and they made a note to their reservation to add blankets.

That is great to know!
