Best "free" upgrade you ever got when checking into a WDW hotel?

I don't know if the Swan/Dolphin would count, but approx. 3 years ago, We got the Swan at the $129 per night Nurse's Rate and were upgraded to Epcot View with a Balcony! It was awesome.

Had booked a standard view since we were so late booking. Upon arrival the CM told me we had a 1st floor room . I asked nicely if there was anything else available, we'd prefer an upper floor. I also asked nicely if any upgrades were available, expecting her to say no. She upgraded us to FULL LAGOON ViEW, 3RD FLOOR! The room was wonderful, 3063, almost on a corner with a full view of the water and lighthouse. We saw the fireworks form Illuminations from our balcony the first night. What a great way to start the trip!

We were upgraded from a water view to the Presidential Suite last summer at the Yacht Club - it was FANTASTIC! Here are some pictures

In 1999, we got an upgrade from a wing room to the Tower at the Contemporary.

December 1995, we got a fabulous upgrade for our honeymoon. We scrimped and saved for a lagoon view at the GF. When we checked in the CM said "You have a complimentary upgrade to the Biscayne SUITE in Sago Cay" - have a great honeymoon!! We were speechless!! Huge bedroom, livingroom/kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, 3 balconies, and the best view of the castle. HEAVEN!!! We always wanted to go back to GF, but they spoiled us and if we can't have a suite - then forgettaboutit!!
