I always wore whatever flip flops I wanted without issue. Well, now I'm getting older...and need to change things up.

Last time I went I brought my flip flops and got a "split" between my toes so I couldn't wear them the rest of the time. I was lucky enough to have slip on boots and it got cold so I wore them.

I want to invest in maybe Clarks or just a good sandal without the thong part.

PS...I also need wide width.

Thanks!

Based on info here I bought Teva Mush (original not Teva Mush 2) flip flops and they were amazing! I wore them for the most part for our entire trip last year... I just mixed in Sketchers sneakers a couple days.

Have you tried Sketchers go walk? I know you said no sneakers but this are more like a shoe. Super comfy and wide. I have arthritis so have issues with feet swelling. I also use crocs, mail order wider fit from UK and Clarks.

I had excellent luck with my Clarks. I've heard Keens are really good, too.

I wore Teva Tirra sandals during this trip and I really liked them. They were comfortable and they are great especially if it is going to rain or you are going on any water rides. Your feet dry quicker than having wet sneakers on and having to change socks, etc. They were just as comfortable as my sneakers and at the end of the night, I didn't have as much swelling in my ankles when I wore my sandals.

I developed Plantar Fasciitis a few years ago and had to find supportive shoes. I started wearing Vionics and now wear them exclusively in Disney and everywhere else. They have a variety of sandals, flip flops, etc. and many come in wide as well. They have a podiatrist designed technology to give your foot proper support and best part is if you order direct from them you can wear them for 30 days and return them if you don't love them.

Everyone in my family wears Keens now and can't believe how comfortable they are. We can wear all day/night without any discomfort. Great traction, also great in wet weather.

Skechers Go Walks are my go to shoes for walking. I can walk all day at Disney without painful, tired feet at the end of the day. I also have a pair of Skechers flip-flops, but haven't worn them to Disney yet, but they seem vary comfy. (They also come in a wide width.)

I loved my Teva Tirras for the parks. They're nylon with a supportive sole, and have three adjustable velcro straps.

I know a lot of people like Sketchers, but I feel like you get what you pay for with them, and I've never had a pair of Sketchers that didn't stink after a few wearings.

I live by my crocs in the parks. They're comfortable enough to wear all day long and not hurt my feet. They're perfect whether it's raining or not. I just take off my socks if I see its about to rain and, they're nonslip so they're easy to walk in while it's raining.

I loooove tevas as well!!

Pro tip, though: Skechers go walks are completely machine washable. They are light as air and when mine get less than fresh, I throw them in the washer :thumbsup2 easy peasy and they come out good as new. They dry quickly, too, because they're made of memory foam!

I just purchased a pair of Keen Whisper Sandals for our Disney trip in June. I wanted something comfortable that could withstand a sudden downpour. I tried some on locally to find out my size then ordered them for much cheaper on Amazon. They come in so many fun colors it was hard to choose. I may have to get a second pair LOL!!!

Do you wear socks with your Keens? I have been really debating dropping the shoes I normally wear for some Crocs but those Keens look comfy.

I've got plantar fasciitis and other intermittent tendinitis in my left foot and must have supportive shoes. Birkenstocks are by far the most supportive I've found for lots of time on my feet. I like their sister lines of Birkies or Papillio for prettier designs. They do have a strap around your big toe, but on me at least, it doesn't go up in between nearly as much as a flip flop. They are also great on my wide feet. Nice benefit - they are repairable. If you wear them forever like I do, you can take them to a Birkenstock seller and they can do repairs on the soles or straps if needed. You do need to wear them a couple hours a day for a week or two to kind of mold the sole to your foot, so don't wear them brand new!

My podiatrist actually recommended crocs for shorter amounts of time walking, but I don't find their arches nearly high enough to be supportive.
