What is the best food on the boardwalk? After looking thru the menus of
Big River Grille and Spoodles and ESPN, I'm still not sure!

Anyone out there know which one is the best for the money
with the best atmosphere?? (disney-ish, fun, not too bright)

Thanks!

Also, the bakery on the boardwalk - can u sit down in there and have dessert or is it "take out?"

Thanks!:wave2: :wave2:

The best food on the Boardwalk is Spoodles....Others don't even compare. It is a hopping kind of place on weekends and busy nights though. One of my favorite restaurants.::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Bakery on the Boardwalk is take out only. You might find a bench to sit down outside but I don't think there are tables outside for the Bakery( I'm closing my eyes now and trying to remember) :)

I think the best food on the BW is at Flying Fish, but Spoodles is certainly plenty good.

FF by a mile!:earseek: The charred NY Strip or anything with risoto!!! Yumm.

Last summer we couldn't decide so we had appetizers in each restaurant over an entire evening...All were great and gave a different experience.

FF wasn't mentioned, but it IS on the Boardwalk...But to be more accurate then, anything but ESPN.:p

I think that ESPN is a great place to grab a burger and a beer during the game, but I wouldn't head there just for the food. I enjoy being there because I am a sports fan, and the food is decent. But for a great dining experience I would head somewhere else. I have a feeling the same can be said of the Big River Grille. So I guess that leaves me with Spoodles as my choice. I've never been there, but I hear great things!

Flying Fish ?? :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

What kind of food do they serve? I mean, what kind of fish?
I like fried shrimp and crab cakes (only).

So u guys don't like ESPN, huh? It doesn't sound appealing to me.

Is the boardwalk a cool place to hang out at nite?:cheer2: :cheer2:

We go to Spoodle's on every trip. We wouldn't miss it for anything. We end up going twice most trips, not counting the couple times for breakfast, too.

Big River Grill tends to be hit or miss. One time I had a great burger there, another time it was all dried out. The chocolate cake is very good.

ESPN is usually too loud for our taste. The food is pretty good, though, with hugh portions. I have never seen a bigger plate of cheese fries.

We have never tried Flying Fish. We like some fish, but not alot. I understand they have a wonderful steak, but if I want a great steak, I go across the lake to Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Boardwalk Bakery has some really yummy stuff. It is all take out. You come in one door and right out the other. No place to stand and eat if you wanted to. There are tables and chairs over in front of Seashores Sweets where you can sit. Our favorites are the benches by the water. The view is just beautiful.

I forgot!!!

Spoodles for breakfast = AWESOME!!

Thanx to CoolCat for reminding me.

The FF rox!! I'm not a big fish fan but I AM a fan of the Flying Fish.

Give it a day in court.... it won't disappoint!

My votes for Flying Fish and I am a vegetarian. I really enjoyed my meal there :)

Flying Fish has the best food on the boardwalk for dinner.

Spoodles for breakfast is not to bad.

I got the menu for Flying Fish:
http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_ff.htm
 it's very expensive and it looks like a limited menu.

I only like Crab Cakes or Fried Shrimp!

Also, I want to know if SEASHORE SWEETS is a place where we can sit down inside and eat dessert???

Flying Fish is very expensive and the menu is limited. We have eaten there and the food was great but we prefer Spoodles on a regular basis. If you are looking for something upscale or for a special evening then FF is wonderful. We dine at Spoodles for dinner at least once every trip. It is all a matter of personal taste. We happen to like more of the things on the menu at Spoodles than FF although FF is rated higher. Pick the food you enjoy the most. Next trip try the other:)

I like ESPN ofr lunch, and don't care for Big River Grill .

We have eaten at Spoodles for breakfast which was good - not awesome, but good. We have eaten twice at Big River, my DH loves the beer sampler. We just ate there last sunday and my food was very very good.

The boardwalk bakery has lots of yummy pastries. There are plenty of tables and chairs on the boardwalk to eat at.

ESPN I did not care for. We had lunch there. My DH enjoys it though:rolleyes:

I think there is a counter and a few stools inside seashore sweets that you could sit at, but it is a take out kind of place.

Don't forget about the corndogs!! They are delish!!

When I am at WDW, I spend as much time as possible at the BW.

Breakfast - Spoodles can't be beat. They have some exotic items, but also the standards. The Bakery is also great for a bite to eat on the way to Epcot.

Lunch - ESPN all the way. They have great burgers! Also, their nachos are enough for everyone to share.

Dinner - Flying Fish can't be beat. I am not a seafood lover, not even popcorn shrimp, but the Potato Wrapped Snapper is amazing. My DH is from Texas and claims the steak at FF is the best he has ever had! Now there is an endorsement!

Their Peeky Toe Crab Cakes are the BEST!
