On the last day of our December trip, we want to do some resort touring to see the different Christmas decorations. We were thinking of going to Downtown Disney in the morning, and then taking the boat ride to Port Orleans French Quarter. We thought we would look around there a bit and then walk over to Riverside to see everything there. (How long is the walk?)

We want to eat lunch while we are at it. So, is the food court at French Quarter or Riverside better for lunch? Any opinions??

I did not care much for the offerings at POFQ--but don't recall ever eating anything but breakfast at POR.

FQ will have more "New Orleans" type cuisine..while POR will have more "southern cooking" I believe. Both will have the typical burgers and pizza fare as well. The jambalaya at FQ was weird tasting--like they didn't get the seasonings right AND it was a bit spicy--some might like that--but something was weird and the spicy part wasn't the weird part.

i would suggest eating at POR as the foodcourt is much more spacious and has more selections, not to mention the atmosphere is nicer. big water wheel turning outside the window and a much more open feeling than at the POFQ.

Have only eaten at POR and it was fine, uncrowded and spacious. My kids loved the Waterwheel and you can check out the chrismtas display in the main lobby, which is attached.

If time allows, you could rent a bike! I saw a several bikers having a great time on our last day.
