On our day of arrival we will be having lunch at Pop Century before heading to Magic Kingdom. What is the best food there? The flatbread sandwiches look good and not too fattening depending on the type. What do you recommend there though?

Going next month...woo hoo!!

Hi
My girlfriend really liked the chicken parmasen that comes with a breadstick and I really like the shrimp lo mein. My DD had a flatbread with mozzerella cheese and tomato sauce and thought it was pretty good.

Tie-Dyed Cheesecake. Probably about 12 pieces per person should cover you for lunch. Try the Twinkie Tiramisu for desert. ::yes::

I second the Twinkie Tiramisu, but I swear I saw in another thread its gone now:headache: . We also loved the shrimp lo mein!!!

Another vote for teh chicken parm.. it was very good and almost enough for 2 people

If you are there when they start to serve the dinner food, I love the salmon. I got a side order of the shrimp that they serve with the shrimp lo mein and that is good, too.

The chicken caesar salad is really excellent.

And the Tie-die Cheesecake is freakin awesome. :goodvibes

I just posted a picture of it in the Pop Century pictures thread in the resort section! It's delicious!!!

We did the same thing on our arrival day last month--ate at POP before heading to MK. I had the shrimp lo mein and LOVED it :) My husband had a burger--just your typical burger. Later in the week, we had pizza and really liked it. They have lots to pick from and I'm sure you'll find something you'll love. Have fun :goodvibes

The greek salad is very good and comes with some pita bread (for other carb fans, like myself) and the med. flatbread was nice, but you have to like olives.

What WASN'T god at the POP Food Court should be the question! :rotfl2:

I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. But we ate at least one meal here every day! :lmao: Among my faves: Meditteranean Flatbread, Chicken Parm, Meatball sub. And don't even get me started on the TieDye Cheesecake...we were there for 10 nights. I think we all split 1 piece every day. :rotfl:

I really liked the Chicken Parmesan Penne Alfreo. It was chicken parmesa with penne pasta covered with alfredo sauce. I swear it was the best CS meal we had. DH got the Parmesan chicken with a mixed green salad, same chicken but with salad instead of pasta. If you are interested I have a picture of both of these in my dining reviews.

Wow, all of this sounds so good! I will probably end up going with either the chicken caesar or one of the flatbread sandwiches. I get nervous about chicken parm and pizza outside of NYC because I am spoiled with the Italian restaurants and pizzerias here (plus my own cooking...I'm part Italian!). So I have very high standards for Italian food. But the other things sound great, especially tie-dye cheesecake! I am assuming this has chocolate in it? Hopefully not raspberry though because I am allergic.

Thanks everyone,
Bonnie

Tiedye cheese cake has a red velvet cake base. The other thing is LOTS of coloring....it is bright. You may see the results later, if you know what I mean. :scared1:

I've stayed @Pop three times (fourth time this September! ) but have never tried the tie dye cheesecake....
looking at it reminds me of Play Dough!
Does it taste like regular cheesecake just with lots of food coloring???
:confused3
