Can anyone recommend a good flip flop, or even sandals, that do well in the rain? I will be at WDW in September. I live in Old Navy flip flops but not when it's raining - I slip and slide everywhere. On another thread I asked about Teva Mush and Croc flip flops and they reported they are just as bad. I have Adidas ones that I rarely wear that have a cushion bottom for the foot rather than a foam/rubber one, might those be better? Or perhaps the "fancy" flip flops at Old Navy with the strap on the back of the heel? Any and all suggestions appreciated! :thumbsup2

I have some foot problems and although I'm a huge fan of very sparkly girly flip flops I would say hands down the best ones for disney are the fit flops. They have a huge foam cushion under (like one inch). I've been to Disney twice in these now and don't ever wear tennis shoes. So far 14 full days of disney being very active darting from one side of the park to another and never a blister or any pain. You can get Fit flops all over online, but awhile back sears was selling a knock off version for about $15 that was actually a little better. I think Target is selling one also and sketchers might also have them. Google them and you can see what they look like. I wouldn't wear old navy flip flops to Disney if someone was paying me to.

Whatever you choose, get them a couple of weeks early and break them in.

Not the Sanuk Yoga Mats. I wore them in the rain and for a few hours they "foamed" when I walked:rotfl: I have no idea why! It was like they were covered in soap! Strange.

My teva sandals were the best for the rain. They're waterproof so they were great!

Which Teva's do you wear? Are they all waterproof? I haven't seen them yet but from what I can tell online they are similar to the Old Navy kind with the foam/rubber sole, a thicker sole but still the same material. And someone in the other thread mentioned their Teva Mush's made them slide everywhere in the rain which made me skeptical of them :confused3

I had no problems with slipping in either my Reefs or my Croc Cleos. The Cleos have a strap around the heel so they were especially good in the rain.

My mom wore her Reefs in Disney this time and said they were great in the rain. Even while wet, they didn't rub or slip or foam or anything. Hers have a thicker heel and wider strap. She says they're incredibly comfortable wet or dry.

I agree! I love the Skecher Tone up and the Fit Flops. They feel exactly the same, except the Skecher Tone Ups have a little more space between the foot bed and the top straps, so if your feet have a tendency to swell down there, like mine do, the Skecher Tone Ups may be just a little more comfortable. I've never had a problem slipping in the rain with either though. The Montrail Molokinis are also good on wet surfaces.

Crocs are the worst. I fell flat on my butt right in front of ice station cool during a rainstorm once. They were brand new, so had plenty of tread on them. I've also slipped several other times with different kinds of Crocs (once coming into work one night on a icy sidewalk). This grandma is too old and fat to be trying to bounce on concrete or ice.:rotfl:
