Best First "Big" Ride?

I have very anxious kids (used to be scared on Peter Pan) that are now tall enough and feeling brave enough to try a few big rides this trip. We watched a bunch on youtube and while they said no to several they stated they wanted to try the following:

7DMT
Soarin'
Test Track
Dinosaur
Splash Mountain
Star Tours

Which one do you think we should do first? Which one do you think will encourage them to keep trying the faster, scarier rides?

I think 7DMT would be perfect! All the others are good but Splash as that giant drop and Dinosaur is dark , kind of scary and it jerks you a lot.

I think Soarin is the tamest of all listed- nothing scary about it. DD rode at 4 and loved it.

I'd follow that with splash- there's so much going on- characters, singing, etc and only the one big drop.

I thought my kids would enjoy star tours and test track- they tried both for the first time last month and were terrified on both- they were in tears during star tours.

OP here. Really they were scared of most dark rides at first because of the dark and the volume of the sounds. Last trip to MK (2 years ago) they finally loved Peter Pan, Ariel, Winnie the Pooh etc. They tried Barnstormer last trip and did not freak out but said they didn't want to do it again


I am leaning towards Soarin' based on responses. I think they may also like 7DMT but since we will be in MK twice we can save their first "big" ride for the second day to ease them in.

If he has never done Goofy's Barnstormer, I would suggest that one first. It's short, but it's snappy. Then Splash, Soarin', Mine Train is similar to Big Thunder Mountain.
