Best Film for Wishes/Spectro Pictures???

What is the best film (speed and make) to take pictures of the evening performances (Wishes, Spectro, etc..) ?

I have heard that when developing film you should buy the make of the processor (i.e. if you taking film to a place that has a Kodak processor you should use kodak film), is this true?

Any suggestions of where to get film developed (I live in Canada, just outside TO). Always use Walmart but lately their quality has not been great. Sams Club? Costco?

We are also taking a digital camera as well, but this is my DH domain.

Generally camera shops that specialize in photo finishing are going to give you superior quality prints that will last longer. A 400 speed film f16 apeture or you can use the same 100 speed film that you would use for daytime photos at a f8 apeture. Shutter speed should be in blulb mode which will hold the shutter open as long as you hold it open (ie hold it down for the entire firework burst)-this is assuming that you are using a 35mm SLR camera. I would use either Kodak or Fuji film.

Film user here, too! I just can not give up the fun of running down to the pharmacy to pick up vacation photos! Call us ol' fashioned but I love it!

I still shoot film. I just bought my SLR last year so I am not ready to go digital just yet. Thank you to the poster for the question and those who answered. I was wondering what speed film to use as well for fireworks.
