Best electronic toothbrush?

I have never used an electronic toothbrush before and really don't know what a good brand is or even a good deal. Anybody have any experience with these?

I really like the Sonicare ones-I have the Elite for about 4 yrs now and I love it.It has helped with my gum maintance and it was recommended by my peridontist.There are different ones now but I think they are all about the same-mine has a little beep that signals you every 30 seconds so you know to move to the next quadrant and it turns off after 2 minutes.I see most of the new ones come with 2 bases so you can have one for another family member(it has only one charging station)I like the elite size head cause my mouth is on the small size so it fits me good.They sell them in Costco and Sams if you are a member and they are usually a better deal there-extra replacement heads.The replacements heads can be pricey but I usually find them at Costco too-you change the head out every 6 months.

I have the Sonicare Essence 5300 - I love it. Mine, too, beeps every 30 seconds and shuts off automatically after two minutes. It also starts out gentle and works up to standard speed/strength so that your gums can grow accustomed to it. I do notice a difference on my teeth and my gums don't bleed anymore - that is a huge plus. The replacement heads are a little pricey, but when you register it on the website, they send you coupons for $10 off replacement heads. I've noticed that Target and Wal-Mart have dropped their prices on Sonicares recently and they are same price there as at Sam's and Costco (at least in my area).

Any electric toothbrush is much better than a manual one.
