I'm looking to rent an ECV for my DM for our trip next month. She is also sun sensitive and I remember renting one years ago with a sun shade. Is this still an option? I really want one of the preferred vendors since I don't want to be on a time schedule for pick up and return. Thanks.

I requested a canopy from Apple (see links in FAQs). They added it onto my reservation easily. My trip's in December, so I'm not sure how it will be, but I know the option's available.

We have rented ECVs from Apple with canopies many times. In fact, we will be getting these on our trip this week. Any time we go between May and September we get the canopy.

Thanks for the info. Did you call in the request for the canopy? I didn't see it anywhere in the online form. Also, which version did you use? The smaller version or larger? The 3 or 4 wheel? Are either version easy to disassemble and lift in back of a minivan? Hopefully it's not too heavy. Thanks again.

I booked the 3 wheel Victory 10. In the "notes" section I just asked whether I could get a canopy. They sent me the confirmation which included "Canopy" in the Special Instructions.

Btw, does anyone happen to have a picture available with that scooter with a canopy? I've tried searching images, but there's a lot of various pictures out there, and hard to tell which is which. Also would I be able to rig a carry bag on that scooter?

And I can't wait. :dance3: Less than 3 months and I get to live the "see Disney at Christmas" on my bucket list. :hyper:

They also have Victory 9 scooters a little smaller and not as heavy but you need to call to get one

Apple also has the Go-Go Elite Traveler Plus scooters. They have a 300lb rating and have the larger batteries. These break down easily for travel in a vehicle. I don't think the Victory scooters break down for travel. I know the Victory 10 doesn't. The Go-Go's heaviest piece is under 40lbs.

I got the go go elite from Apple, with the sun shade, when we were there in August. As stated by a PP, I just noted I wanted the sun shade in the comments on the order form. They confirmed it when they called to confirm the reservation. No problems at all, and it works for rain too!
