Best DVC resorts for the marathon

rats now i want to stay at okw... we're staying at the beach club villas this year. last year we stayed at saratoga springs

Did anyone else get caught up in the bus fiasco at SSR this year? What a mess! We found out when we left our room on race morning that there was only one pick-up point for the race. The front desk had told us otherwise. Luckily someone was nice enough to give us and a couple others that were there a ride to the correct bus stop. It turned out not to matter because our bus was really late.

Other than that the race was an awesome experience. Wish I could run again but we're expecting our second child this January. I thought SSR was a good location during that weekend but that was my first Disney race as well as my first stay at a DVC resort so i don't have much to compare it to.

hmmm... i was at saratoga. i didn't realize there was a problem with the buses. i know i caught one at the stop right outside of our building and there were already people on it from other stops. cause we made sure to ask where to catch the bus too.

Ok, I lied on my previous posts!

Even thought I was 'convinced' earlier to stay at POFQ, we are now booked at OKW! We decided to borrow all of next years points at stay at a DVC resort, rather than paying cash for a ressie at POFQ.

So, we will be at OKW from that Thursday until the following Friday! Woo Hoo!
