Best DVC resort for 18 month old?

I will hopefully be a new member soon! I put in for a contract at BWV. We are thinking of taking a trip this summer. The kids will be: 11 yrs, 8 yrs, 7 yrs, and 18 months. I have never taken a child to WDW under the age of 3 yrs and I never thought I would. However, with the extra space, kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. I'm thinking we may just do it. What the heck. He's the 4th child and use to going all over the place anyway. So, I was wondering what would be the best resort? We will be past the 7 month mark so maybe our choices will be limited. BWV and BCV will have the best location to be able to put him in the stroller and not have to worry about buses. The 0 entry pool at SSR seems good and it's a stroller ride away form DTD. What other resorts have a good pool for toddlers?

I would agree with you that BWV and BCV would be best since they're attached to two parks and you can walk to either if you've got the energy. I'm at BWV and I've got three kids who have all been there multiple times UNDER 3yrs old. With the ages of the kids that you have, I would expect you to be at MK at some point - which would require you to get on a bus (unless you're driving yourself). I'd recommend bringing your own stroller so you can bypass the park stroller rentals. The bus doors are big and at least half the other people on the bus also have or have had strollers so they understand. Being at BWV or BCV and being in walking distance has a bad side since you'll be inclined to walk everywhere. The kids will be all the more tired and less inclined to walk the rest of the way back to the room. "Carry me" or "up!" is all you'll hear.
Regarding pools - I've only ever been at OKW and BWV. There are nice toddler pools at both. I believe BCV has a nice "beach" gradually sloped entry into one or all of their pools so the toddler should enjoy.

I liked BWV at that age for my son. The pool isn't too big so it is easy to watch them and the little playground is right there so they can go back and forth. My son also liked climbing up and down the pool stairs as opposed to a zero entry set up. I see many litle ones sticking to the stairs. They can test their limits a little and have some fun.

The walk or boat to Epcot and MGM is another plus. We also like Flying Fish and Spoodles which are right there.

I just like the feature pools with the playground right there. Kids like to go between the two so my other vote would be for OKW. Those rooms would also give you a lot of space.

I would think SSR would be pretty good (although I think everyplace at WDW is good, so I'm biased). The little Donald Duck sprinkler area at the main pool seems very popular with little ones, and the zero entry pool is also nice. Another nice feature, if your little one is OK with the water, is that there is a very small slide (had a handicap logo on it, but apparently is open to general use) that small kids seem to like. It does go into the waist-deep water, so you have to catch them.

I agree with you that the walk to DTD is a major perk. If you ask for a room in Congress Park, you'll be in the closest units to DTD. It's a really pleasant walk any time of day. There's also a small kids' playstructure near the quiet pool in Congress Park.

We have stayed at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge with very small children and it is our personal favorite. The boat ride to Magic Kingdom is great and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the Wilderness Lodge. We'll be back there again this year in August and we can't wait!!!!!
