Weekend is approaching and suddenly, I'm thinking about drinks? Last trip there, we never drank. The ex hubby was a minister, nuff said. This time, going with my DP, and we WILL have drinks!! That being said, WHO has the best signature drinks and what do you all reccomend?

Thanks!:drinking1

I think Mike said all the bars at WDW
now have the same drink menu.

Too bad I thought it was more fun when they
were all different. :guilty:

I agree, dissapointing!! I thought each resort had their OWN signature drink? Boring.......

I love the Mango Margaritas at the Mexico Pavilion.

What's the point of this?

Anyway, I am personally happy with Vodka on the rocks, straight.

But I do enjoy a good martini on occasion. I don't think you'll find as many "specialty" drinks outside of the World Showcase as most of the drinks have been standardized.

I blame my MOTHER for this! Our last trip she asked why every place didn't offer the same thing! I was horrified and now it's come to pass???? She's a witch I tell you...a witch!

I was hoping for some yummy "different" drinks....oh well

There are a few places that have signature drinks.

For instance, Tambu Lounge makes the most amazing Pina Coladas around. plus they've got the Lapu Lapu (served in a pineapple), the Back Scratcher, and I think one other.

At the Turf Club Bar & Grill at Saratoga Springs they make a delicious mint julep (aka "the bourbon snowcone")

As I recall Victoria Falls at AKL has a couple of signature drinks as well.

My personal favorites are the above mentioned Pina Coladas (add a shot of banana liquer for me) and the mint julep.

The point, as if it matters.... was to subscribe so that I could see the answers. I was interested and wanted to remember the thread, thanks for asking.

Beth, glad we BOTH got some cool info. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to head over to the Polly and have some yummy pineapple drinks?!! Have a great weekend and thank you EVERYONE for the input!!:flower3:

Things to try that definately don't suck. :goodvibes

Epcot France kiosk: Grande Marnier slushie

Mexico kiosk: Fiesta Margarita

UK pavillion R&N: Dr. Loosen's Reisling

Poly Tambu Lounge: Island Sunset

CR The Wave: Main Divide Reisling

CR The Wave: Bloody Mary...forgot their name for it, but it has a heck of a kick!

DTD Raglan Road: Chocolate Martini

Is there still a drink at 50's Prime time that has grapes in it? Thats about all I remember about it, that and that it was yummy.

Something about Dad's cabinet or something......

Yeah......the majority of the drinks at the resort bars are almost identical now. But each place will have a small handful of specialty drinks that usually plays on the theme of the place you're at. For example, the Poly will have the sweet-n-fruity drinks with lotsa dark rums and pineapple being the main stars of the drink. Whereas places at Port Orleans will have things like Mojitos.....and drunk women showing their goods for green and purple beads. :cheer2:

Take that last example with a grain of salt. You should also take the Fiesta Margarita with several. ;)
