We're planning a trip for May 2006 and are staying inside Disney from Sunday-Thursday. We are looking for a hotel for Friday-Saturday since we're going to Sea World and messing around Orlando. We would really like something in this area so we can go to Downtown Disney of the evenings. Stayed at Best Western, hated it....can you guys reccomend something nice but not really that pricy...we payed $69 for the BW and don't feel it was worth it. Any suggestions???

$69 for a DD hotel is pretty cheap.

I agree! It's pretty hard to find anything clean and safe in the area these days for that kind of price.

I was going to say the Hilton, which is very nice, but probably way out of the price range.

I'm curious....why did you hate the Best Western. We added three days to our upcoming trip (CSR for the first 8 nights) - got the Best Western in DD on Hotwire for $64 per night. We have also stayed at the Holiday Inn...not a great place either. We did like the tower room at the Grosvenor though, and it was an easy walk across the street to DD.

I'm curious why you hated BW too. I was considering it for an upcoming trip because I really like the idea of the balcony. Don't want to stay in a room full of ants though!!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek:

Nearby--but not walking distance--is the Marriot Village. I stayed at the Fairfield there for $59 a night and it was just great and an excellent location near some Outlet Malls, restaurants, and also Super Walmart and Super Target are a 10-min drive down 535.

I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in May 2005 and loved it! The room was very pretty and the buffet breakfast was excellent. You couldn't beat the location! Their was a Walgreens across the street, Tony Romas next door and a 24 hour business center where I could print my boarding cards for Southwest! It was perfect.
They are located on Apopka. From DTD turn left at the lights onto SR535 and it is up on your right past the Palm Parkway intersection.
