I know that AAA has different discounts per season and per category. They are listed on that site.

O.K> let me rephrase my question.

In time past.. what kind of great discount have you gotten. ( i.e. paying a value rate for a Moderate Resort... or within a few dollars of a Value resort)

Not with a package - but twice in the past we got room only at ASSp and ASMu for $49/night. Now that's a deal!

I was initially confused as to a Room Only package. Room Only, room only. Package: room, tickets and possibly more.

GA resident rate June of '04:

WL $129 a night
CR $149 a night. Took CR, then after DH saw WL he wished we had booked there since we had stayed at CR so many times before. This was the last tie I ever saw a GA resident rate. It was advertised in my local Sunday paper. Now I'm feeing lucky to get AAA rate of $176 in value season for the YC!

In 2004 we were booked to stay at POFQ and received a call 2 weeks before the vacation to be told they were shutting POFQ for refab. I was offered WL for $116.00 a night and I took it. Chris

$109.00 AP Rate at AKL was our best rate at AKL and $49 at All Star Music.

I got a room only "Winter Special Rate" in Jan 2005 for POR....$86/night.

We got a room at the Contemporary for 116.00 about 5 years ago. No code or annual pass. I read on this board that some folks were getting that rate and I called about 10 times until a CM found it. Summer 2005 we had an AP rate at the AKL for 114.00. They were full so they sent us to SS, 1 bdrm villa for the same rate + 100.00 for our trouble. We haven't paid rack rate since 1992 but watching the boards, finding codes, calling CRO time after time is almost like a job. It's the thrill of the hunt!

Wow! I booked a weekend at the end of september at the CBR. This is my first moderate and I didn't have a lot of time to plan so I was worried that I may have missed a better rate somewhere. Now my $99/ night appears to be quite decent! And now, two days later there are no more rooms available at a moderate for that discount code.

Usually I book a free dining package. Last time I booked a room only code I think we got ASMu for $65/night.

I managed to scoop an extra night on priceline at ASSp for a whopping $35! (Of course, I had no way to gty that was what I would get, just knew others were bidding that price/date range and getting it!)

When Shades of Green was refurbished throughout 2003 - 2004, we stayed three different times in a North Garden Wing Junior Suite at the Contemporary Resort for $101.00 per night. Which was a military overflow rate. At the time, this suite's rack rate was $385.00 a night plus tax. They actually relocated a cast member to move us into this room.

As near as I can figure the current rate for Nov at POR package I have would mean the room was 106. a night including tax.
total is 1666. for two people 6 nights, 7 day park hoppers, and 6 nights dining plan.
