Hey guys!

We're off to Florida in 7 days time and I was just wondering what y'all think is the best thing to do at Disney? It can be a ride, a show, a place to eat or relax - anything!

Muppets 3D is obviously one of our favourites... along with Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster and Splash Mountain!

Also, this will be our first time in Islands of Adventure - any advice on what to do and where to go there?

If you have a choice go to I of A on a hot day, and try the water rides, the log flume (can't recall the name) and Bilge Rat Barges. These are the wettest rides I've ever been on. For a ride, well it's got to be Spiderman.

Don't forget Hulk or Dr Doom - some of my favourite rides

Although I loved Muppets 3d when I saw it in 1998 when I saw it last year I was disappointed with the quality of the film - it seemed fuzzy or slightly out of focus.

I loved eating at whispering canyon cafe at wilderness lodge.

At IOA get there early to get a fast pass (or whatever Universal call them) for spiderman. we arrived about 11am (in August) and they'd all gone. We never did get to ride as the queue was over 90 minutes long.

Has to be spiderman for us, when we went last we rode it 5 times in a row, excellent ride!.

At IOA my favourites are Spiderman and the Pluto Barges - tried Hulk once, and will not be trying it again - but at least I can say I have done it!!!

WDW faves rides are ToT, BTMR, Test Track. Best thing though is just the atmosphere as you enter MK - coming off the monorail, and entering Town Square, going up Main St USA - just stop for a few minutes and take in everything around you - the smells, the sights, the music and sounds, the electricity.....wow it is magical!!!!

Hi KK,

We've been so many times now that we enjoy chilling in the parks as much as the rides. Last October we spent a very pleasant few hours in MK - starting in the gardens to the right of Cinderella's Castle as you face it from Main Street and then wandering down the back way towards Tomorrowland, behind Tomorrowland Indy Speedway and stopped just by Goofy's Barnstormer and waved at the folks going by on WDW Railroad.

A leisurely stroll around World Showcase is another favourite, especially during the International Food and Wine Festival. We also enjoy chilling in the rocking chairs outside LTT and doing a spot of people watching (a good spot for the parade, although you have to arrive early).

Favourite rides? Well, I love Carousel of Progress which now only seems to be operational during peak times. I also loved Horizons and World of Motion (the old General Motors ride where Test Track is now), sadly both gone. Spaceship Earth is a classic 'not to be missed', Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, BTMR, R'n'R. Have to do Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safaris and TTBAB at AK.

We also love resort hopping and trying out different restaurants on WDW property.

Definitely do not pass by Spiderman (even if you have to wait 90 minutes!). If you like coasters, Hulk is great, but Duelling Dragons was a bit hairy for me! I hated Dudley Doo-Rights Ripsaw Falls and won't be doing it again - far too bumpy. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges are huge fun, but you have no chance of coming off anything other than soaked to the skin, so go when it's very hot, at the end of the day, or take a change of clothes. Poseidon's Fury and Eighth Voyage of Sinbad are both worthwhile, although I think I would do PF if I had to choose.

If you are foodies, Mythos is a 'must do' and we also love spending time at the Alchemy Bar, but it would be tricky if you've got young children. All the eateries are a notch above their equivalents at WDW, IMHO. And then there's CityWalk, where the choice of restaurants is immense. You really should not visit USF without a trip to Hard Rock Cafe.

IoA - another vote for Spiderman it's just amazing. Also loved Hulk but be warned our youngest was just tall enough to ride, & rode twice straight after one another. He was SICK.

The 2 water rides are great but it must be warm, have never got so wet on a ride before. once on the Pluto barges ride its worth taking off your shoes & putting them in the centre storage. I made the mistake of riding in navy blue leather sandals, & came off with blue feet. Which took 2 days to come clean!!!!!!!!!!!!! they don't let you get on the ride without shoes though.

its a great park for older kids too.

Have a great holiday

Sue

IoA - another vote for Spiderman. Also take cahnge of clothing and put them in a locker for all the water rides and ride them one after the other - Jurassic Park, followed by Ripley's and then Popeye's - that's the order of saturation point LOL. Squelch your way back to the lockers and have a dry off and change nd you're ready to face the rest of the park again - but yeah it has to be warm for me to do these rides ;)

You all may find this a bit naff but I have to have my annual fix of The Tiki Birds in MK.
I love 'em!!:p .
Lunch at FW is another must. Love drinking out of the jar and the tin plates.
I also love Splash Mountain, Pirates of the C,did Dumbo for the first time last year with my 5 yr old. Buzz Lightyear to name a few

Well, if youv'e got kid's don't miss Zeuss Landing. I loved the themeing there, so much to look at. In fact generally I felt the themeing at IOA better than at Disney, but of course it is all new and they now have better technology to create these fantasies.

Fantasmic is an absolute must as is Spectromagic and Illuminations. Rides, I would have to say RnR, ToT and Splash Mountain in Disney and Duelling Dragons and Jurassic Park Adventure in IOA. I would probably add Spiderman and Hulk Coaster but as we couldn't get on to ride them last time - we'll make sure we do this year!!
