Best Dinner Buffets

another poster here who loves BOMA! i think its the best dinner buffet on property. yes, the food is "different" but i was pleasantly surprised as im a bit of a picky eater .. i loved it! im taking my mom there in january! :goodvibes

Biergarten in Epcot is wonderful! It is a German buffet, but there is something for everyone (even for the less adventurous). There is also a live band during dinner and it has a wonderful atmosphere. You are seated at tables for 8, so you may be with people you do not know, depending on the size of your group. There were only 4 of us when we went, so we sat with a very nice man and his daughter (the other 2 seats remained empty). We enjoy meeting new people on vacation, but it is not for everyone. We had a wonderful waiter at Biergarten too!

Boma was excellent, but we will not be returning...let me explain. While there were many choices for non-adventurous eaters, DH and I are more adventurous, which is why we decided to try Boma (we had never eaten African food before). So we tried more of the "exotic" options, plus all the desserts we ate had alcohol in them (which we loved...just gave cookies to the kids and they were happy with their dessert!). The problem is that DH and I both have very sensitive stomachs, and we are prone to heartburn. So that night, we both woke up several times with some pretty bad heartburn. It must have been because of the spices we were not used to eating, combined with the fact that the desserts we ate all had alcohol in them. But, Boma is wonderful...I wish we did not have sensitive stomachs and could return there for dinner. We also had the best service there out of all the TS restaurants we ate at during the whole trip. Our server was so nice and attentive and great with the kids too! Maybe we will try breakfast some time.

Crystal Palace was also very good for dinner. They had some of the best salmon, and the desserts were also delicious. Character interaction was great, but our server was the worst of the entire trip. We will be returning there for dinner on our July 2010 trip. Loved it!

And that's about it for us! These were all good, had good food, and I would recommend them! On our next trip, we will go back to Crystal Palace and Biergarten, and we also plan to try Cape May Cafe for dinner (we will also be going there for breakfast on our last morning).

We like the Biergarten best. Whispering Canyon is good if you like all you can eat family style. Boma had very good food, I just didn't like the seasoning. The others are all mediocre according to DH. I liked Crystal Palace but he didn't.

We've always enjoyed Hollywood & Vine. Tried Cape May last week for the first time and it was really good. We also like Garden Grill (but haven't been there for a couple years).

My favorite dinner buffet is Boma, hands down. I am actually not a huge fan of buffets, but Boma is the best buffet anywhere - we try to go every trip. I even did the sampling/tour of Boma and Jiko on our last trip. Even if you don't like spicy food, there is something for everyone there. DD9 and DD4 both love Boma too, and they think our favorite pizza place has spicy pizza sauce :confused3
