My fiancee and I are thinking of hosting a dinner for our wedding party at Magic Kingdom but cannot decide which restaurant to book. We are a simple group who are just trying to budget things and do the most we can by ourselves! I very interested in Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner. Maybe even Tony's Town Square? Please...any info would be greatly appreciated!!! :grouphug:

Crystal Palace, LTT and CRT are great in our opinion. CRT of course has had the recent changes, and has taken away the food we loved. So I can't fully vouch for it at this point. Most people seem to think it's not worth the money anymore, but the atmosphere alone is worth a lot to me. Crystal Palace is a buffet, but a great buffet! And with Winnie the Pooh! LTT has family style yummy food with characters. We have enjoyed all 3 a whole lot.

Personally, I'd recommend taking a quick boat ride to Artist Point, California Grill, Narcoossee or Citricos. The restaurants inside MK aren't stellar.

Definitly Skip Tony's - too average for a special occasion. My vote in the MK would be LTT. Why not dine with Mickey to celebrate your wedding???? After all you did choose Disney World! Have it noted on the resie that it's for a celebration dinner and Mickey will be sure to pay special attention to the Happy Couple and their guests. The food is simple but decent, family style and the price is reasonable. You will find the Castle costs much more... and who wants Cindy stealing the show when it's your wedding? :rotfl2:

We did dinner for 19 at LTT. We had an area of three tables pretty much to ourselves. It was great fun. FWIW, remember there is no alcohol at MK restaurants. So if you plan toasts during your dinner it will be with soda!
Have a great time.

We love eating at LTT for the character dinner,we also love CP (though more for breakfast), but we also ate at TTS for dinner last March (despite the bad reviews  ) and thought it was good! :cool1: In fact we have a ADR for our up-coming trip for Lunch  (my ds9 loved the spagetti and meat ball and requested to go back)! :wizard:

we love Crystal Palace, but with it being a buffet your whole table won't be together the entire time.

Personally I agree with Bicker. But if the MK it has to be, then I suppose eating in the Castle would lend an appropriate atmosphere.
And as noted by nanago1--no alcohol at the MK, so wedding party drinks are out.

No alcohol in MK might be a good thing. If you are paying it will keep the costs down, :drinking1 and you don't have to be the bad guy saying no to drinks, it's MK rules. LOL.

Congrats on the wedding,

Loralie

Unless it is out of your budget, I would agree.

You have 4 choices here, 3 are character meals or Tony's.

I also agree with Bicker the MK resorts have great restaurants. I think I would pick one of them. I don't think you'll be as rushed as you would with a MK restaurant.

I guess it depends on if you are trying for fancy or fun. I think if you want fancy you need to go somewhere else besides the MK. The most fancy restaurant would be CRT.

I think if I was really going to do this at the MK I'd go for fun and pick one of the character dinners. We really like Crystal Palace for the food (compared to LTT) and I think the characters there - especially Tigger - would add a fun element. I could just see the wedding party parading around the restaurant with all the characters and kids (when they have the parade).

Another option would be to do something like Chef Mickey's (if you want fun - I like the food at CP better). Or O'hanas - like the Luau - that would be a nice and more fancy dinner.

Have fun deciding and congrats!

magicalcouple,

I think you should decide where YOU want to dine. It's YOUR wedding and the guests will be happy just to be there to celebrate with you. Trust me. And hey, they're at DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
