I didn't like the Blackened Catfish last time I was there but maybe it is just my taste. Thnking of going there again but would like a good dinner.
thanks!

I had the shrimp, but my husband said the steak was the best he ever had.

To back up my claim lol.

Not sure of your tastes, but I am a picky eater, not a huge seafood fan and the grilled Mahi Mahi was fabulous!

We are eating there for the first time in 2 weeks, so I am watching this with great interest. I am most interested in detailed reviews of the seafood dishes, since we will have plenty opportunity to have steak at Narcoossee's and Le Cellier other nights!

Dh said the steak there was better than any other place! I though that was funny. I had the chicken, it was ok. Going again on our next trip, not sure what to have then!

Yup, everyone's tastes are different. DS had the Blackened Catfish and loved it. When he ordered it, the server warned him "It's rather spicy!" too, yet he didn't think it was overly spicy at all. I voted for the Grilled Mahi-Mahi, my fave, although last time I ordered it, the man at the next table said his tasted "wierd" and wouldn't eat it. I looked over (OK, I'm nosey) and it didn't look different.

my ds 15 loved the salmon...it looked really good. i had the mahi-mahi and it was good too,but i didnt care for the sides...

I'm a clone of KnJ. Had the Mahi Mahi here and at Shula's in the Dolphin on the same trip. Coral Reef was far superior to Shula's!

When I had the catfish it was very spicy and I was 'warned'. I was fine with the spices since I do like things spicy. Mine was a bit too salty for me.

Thanks for everyone's opinions!

I loved the Ahi Tuna last year... so much, I may order it again this year!

Has anyone tried their prime rib? I've been thinking of getting that on my trip as i'll be having steak at other places.

Hate to say it, but I have it from the BEST possible source... unfortunately CR no longer has the prime rib on either their lunch OR dinner menus. Sorry.

Enjoy the Magic anyway!

DH and I just had the blackened catfish on 8/17. We loved it but we really like our food spicy. The cheesy grits that it was on was perfect with it.

Last Sept my ex had the Cajan catfish while I had the steak. Neither of us liked the catfish (and we love spicy food). My steak was better than the one I got at Rose & Crown and as good as the one I got at Le Cellier. I highly recommend it. My mom got the shrimp pasta and said it was OK. However, she ate barely half of it, so I don't think she particularly liked it.
