We are a family of five. The kids are DS12, DD 8 and DD 5. We already have ressie for dinner at Chef Mickeys the day we arrive.
My question is, are there any specific restaurants you would recommend? I have read many posts and reports and I am now a little overwhelmed. There are sooo many to choose from. I would love to hear from anyone with their thoughts are past experinces. ;)

We have been to Disney World twice. We are going this June.
WE LOVE CHIEF MICKEY'S.We have to go every year.

Go to Cheif Mickey's or Cindy's Royal Table at the Castle!!!!!!!

Cinderella's breakfast is awesome, especially for your little girls.

Also, we like the German restaurant in Epcot. They have a buffet lunch and dinner with very good, and varied food. All of my kids enjoy it, and they are pretty picky eaters. We always make a PS for the last lunch time (I think it's about 3:30) and consider that an early dinner for us. The advantage is that they bring out the dinner food about 15 minutes after you arrive, and they have entertainment at dinner.

Another place we tried last time we were at WDW, and plan to go to again in June, is Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. It is a hoot, and the food is quite good. We had a waitress named "Hickory" and my kids still talk about her almost 2 years later.

Great picks Mom+4. Those are our usually restaurants along with Coral Reef(the aquarium keeps them busy), LeCellier and 50's Prime Time Cafe.

:D Thanks for the advice. We were looking at both Whispering Canyon and 50's Prime Time Diner. I will start today to try to get ressies. As for Cindy's Royal Table, I have tried before but could never get through. Here I go again. ;) I may need a bit of pixy dust:p

My three boys' favorite Disney sit-down restaurant is Teppanyaki in the Japan pavilion in Epcot.

If you don't have success with the castle - you might try the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot. We did both on our last trip in December, and we liked the PSB even better!

The service was wonderful - the food was hot and tasty - the restaurant is bigger and less cramped - and the characters were awesome!! We saw Jasmine (our 6 year olds all-time favorite - Dad's too!), Mulan, Belle, Snow White and Aurora there. It was fun to see the less common princesses there.

Our kids enjoyed the Garden Grill in Epcot. Food and character interaction good.

Ohana's is a fun place for a really nice, special (i.e. costly!) meal. Our kids love it also.

I'm always plugging the Plaza Restaurant on Main Street in MK. Great sandwiches and ice cream. Have a late lunch and you won't need dinner!
