best desserts for counter service?

I've heard about the lousy desserts in the counter service places - anywhere have anything yummy?

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. They have a whole case you can choose from. My favorite is the Tulip Tart -- So good!

I agree - Sunshine Seasons was the best

For Dessert Only Purposes - Stay away from:
Cosmic Ray's
Wolfgang Puck Express
Pinocchio's Village Haus
Tangerine
Backlot Express


Liberty Inn has Rice Krispy Mickey Treats as does Pizza Planet (though the food at Pizza Planet is abysmal IMO)

Sunshine Seasons had the best CS desserts in all of the "World." To be honest, I don't even remember any of the choices from AK or MGM. (I have a sweet tooth too, so I guess they were not very memorable!)

We went to the McDonald's place for lunch and had a strawberry shortcake that wasn't as horrible as the other CS places we went to.

It wasn't very memorable, you'll see I forgot about it entirely in my first post.

Starring Rolls in MGM is very good! They have a couple of huge, fresh sandwiches for an entree, but their desserts are pretty darned near as good as those at Sunshine Seasons.

The resort grab and go sections have some great dessert items:

Novelty ice cream (Mickey bars, Itzakadoozies, etc.)
Fresh bakery items (huge cup cakes, etc.)
Apple slices with caramel dip on the side
We liked the packaged carrot cake, not at good as Main St, but good

This is going to sound really unbelieveable but I have to say the sugar free brownie is really good. They have them lots of places and they are a huge rectangle in a see through bag. They are really sweet and chocolately.....and I am a huge chocolate addict. We are going this weekend and I intend on having at least 2!

Never eaten at Sunshine Seasons. How does it work? Does the dessert come with sandwich or whatever you order as CS. Have done the DDP one year and have to say was not the most experienced.

Pecos Bill's in MK had this awesome chocolate mouse peanut butter brownie thing. My whole family went ga-ga for it.

Sunshine Season's and if you like Creme Brulee then definitely WGP Express.

Like everything else on here its a matter of opinion. We don't like the brownie at Pecos Bills at all, but we love the cannolis at Pinnochio Haus.

We are big dessert people too. I gotta have something sweet after every meal, even breakfast! LOL!
It depends on what you like, I personally love the prepackaged chocolate and carrot cakes offered at most of the CS places. I mean, they aren't fancy, but good enough to help my sweet tooth! Sunshine Seasons does have the best assortment. If you are at EPCOT, I would definitely check it out! I personally didnt care for the peanut butter chocolate mousse thing at Pecos Bills...but to each his own and at least it was dessert! LOL!!!!!!

I see at the Noodle station at MK they have Nestle Crunch bars for dessert! that would be better to me than some dry old cake! Anyone ever eat there?

I have to agree! I am a HUGE chocolate/peanut butter fan and LOVED this dessert!

Yes, they do have sandwiches. You can go there for a CS meal, as well as for a snack credit.
