Best Desserts at Disney

The gelato sampler at Narcossee's and my absolute, must have, must get at least 3 times in a week is the Peanut Butter cookies from Goofy's Kitchen or the packaged ones. Doesn't matter. They are amazing! My DBIL shares the same love for them so we made a pact that if one of us is in Disney, they have to bring home at least 2 Peanut Butter cookies for the other. You can freeze them and have them at your leisure!

Thanks for all the great dessert ideas! Tiramisu, cheesecake, napoleons, sticky toffee ... I'm in heaven. I think I'll gain 20 lbs. on my next trip in august because I plan to try a lot of your recommendations. Keep them coming,!

My favorite dessert is the Flaky Puff Pastry in Akershus Princess Storybook Dining. When my oldest was 4, we dined there. She ordered the pastry and said "Momma, this is better than your brownies!". The pastry is filled with mousse and topped with very fresh berries. I didn't take any pictures, but take my word for it- it will be the most delicious Walt Disney World food item you will ever have!!:thumbsup2

I haven't tried dessert at Norway, but will be making the detour to buy one of these. Thanks for the idea!

Ger's bread pudding at Raglan Road
'Ohana bread pudding
Basically ANY creme brulee at WDW - even QS was good!
Almond crusted cheesecake at Narcoossee's

So many desserts, so few days! I cannot wait to sample a good number of these in October. I am a bread pudding fanatic!
I haven't seem any mention of good pies, has anybody ever had a great slice of pie in the world? DH isn't much for cake but loves his pies!

I am right there with ya! I make all our ADRs only at places where the desserts look particularly yummy. :thumbsup2

Here are a few of our favorites in preferential order...

1. Via Napoli: Zeppole di Caterina (an enormous amount of fried ricotta cheese balls that you get to dip into big gravy boats of chocolate sauce & whipped cream)

2. Main St. Bakery: Ice cream cookie sandwich (2 giant cookies + giant scoops of vanilla ice cream -- also available at other locations, but this is the only location I know still accepts a DDP snack credit for it)

3. 'Ohana: bread pudding / bananas foster / ice cream concoction that is all-you-can-eat!

4. Starring Rolls Cafe: giant cupcakes! (Butterfinger has always been a favorite, but this trip want to try the Reeses one)

5. Mama Melrose: chocolate cannoli cake

6. Lunching Pad: Cream cheese pretzel

Also any/all French desserts from Boulangerie Patisserie or the Crepe cart

That chocolate mousse cake thing they have at Akershus/Kringla Bakeri is SO good. Just the right size and just the right amount of chocolate (a lot). The profiteroles at Les Chefs de France I was a little nervous about. I mean, it is just choux pastry filled with ice cream and covered in chocolate. Um, yeah, I was proven wrong on that. AMAZING.

In no particular order:

1. Chocolate fondue at Grand Floridian Cafe. The simple name doesn't do justice to this heaven in a bowl...If I were alone, I would've licked the bowl clean.

2. Berry cobbler at Artist Point.

3. Filled brownies at Earl of Sandwich. I'm a brownie snob (mine are always from scratch; never a mix), and these just might be better than my own. The fillings (I'm partial to the peanut butter) certainly make them richer.

4. Zebra domes at Boma. I could eat my weight in these.

5. Bread pudding at Ragland Road. Simply the richest bread pudding I've ever had, so rich that I couldn't finish it.

6. Profiteroles at Chefs de France. Ice cream, chocolate sauce, puff pastry...what's more to love?

7. Anything at the Patisserie in France. It's all good.

Can you tell that dessert is my favorite food group?

I think we should do a DIS Dessert Tour of WDW meet up. I can get behind all of these :):thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Unfortunately they don't have it anymore and I don't have pictures, but Artist Point had the best dessert ever. I don't care what anyone else says, it was the best. Double chocolate cheesecake on a shortbread crust, raspberry coulis and Grand Marnier whipped cream. Holy...Crap.

I had heard so much about the cobbler and went in thinking "Ok I'm totally getting the cobbler." Then I saw this little chunk of heaven. I was hemming and hawing over it when our waiter was like "What 2 are you trying to decide between?" I told him and he asked "How much do you like chocolate?" I gave him "the look" and said "a lot" and he said "Then you're getting that one." I was pretty much in a food coma after that meal, so it was pretty funny when the chef came out to say hello. That dessert and I....we had an intimate moment.

Oh my! :rotfl2:

the best is still the cobbler at artists point...as since they've gone generic with most of their menus you have to give a big thumbs up to anything that is only found in one place.

The grand marnier soufflé at V&As....but i'm not really going out on a limb there

I can't say much about anything that is cheesecake based now...because its on every menu.

same with creme brûlée - enough already.

any bread pudding you run into is a safe bet to be fantastic - wolfgang puck often has one that is obscene.

Off the top of my head...thats what i'm thinking

I think my favorites have been the crème brûlée at Les Chefs de France and the Key lime tart at Sunshine Seasons (both in EPCOT).

Then, of course, there's my beloved Dole Whip. I don't know if that counts as dessert or snack.

I never liked bread pudding until I had some and Disney, and now I'm obsessed with it! The bread pudding at Ohana and the bread pudding with vanilla sauce at Boma were my fav desserts. The fruit cobbler at the Garden Grill was pretty good too. Also, I don't know if you consider Dole Whip Floats a dessert, but I do and OMG soooo good!

I as well have a huuuuge sweet tooth!!!
Some of my favorites:

'Ohana Bread Pudding
Sunshine Seasons Creme Brulee
Red Velvet Cake Pop covered in white chocolate.
Caramel corn from Karamelle Kuche
Chocolate Mousse from Le Cellier
Pistachio Creme brulee from Tonys
