2 questions.
1. On the DDP, if you get the skillet, can you also get a dessert? It seems that on the reviews people do, the desserts are often missing.
2. We went there years ago they had a great selection of desserts and it was soooo hard to choose. I took home a delicious chocolate cake dessert (don't remember the name). What is your favorite dessert there?

Yes, you still get dessert with the skillet and IMO the chocolate cake is the way to go!!! So chocolatey...

we were on ddp in August and had dessert with our skillet.I loved the smore cheesecake.

We were there a couple weeks ago, There was a chocolate cake, deep dish apple pie. deep dish pecan pie and the smores cheesecake.
The chocolate cake is the best.

oohh i hope it is the chocolate cake i had back then. It was sooooo good. I wasn't going to get dessert b/c i was so full, but the waitress recommended we pick a dessert and take it with us. Then i was able to really enjoy it later!

Thanks for the list of desserts. I don't eat alot of junk food/desserts but i do love chocolate so i am already planning what i want to eat, starting with desserts first:rotfl: Hey, it's vacation right?

We always do WCC on our first night, gets us in the Disney spirit. We too are always too full for dessert so we always take it to go and have it for breakfast the next morning. Our kids know it's Disney when the first morning we let them have chocolate cake for breakfast!

Not sure if it is on the DDP, but the bottomless milkshake was more than enough dessert for me.

We ordered the milkshake there as our drink and still had dessert! We had to take it with us though since we were pretty stuffed!

I am the same way as you!! I love my desserts, especially chocolate! And they are very important to me on vacation, because normally I do not indulge that much (I watch my weight, Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers here)...but on vacation I go all out to enjoy myself!

Good to know you still get dessert with the skillet on the DDP! That smores cheesecake also looks terrific!

Banana Dust Bowl.....fried flour tortillas dusted with cinnamon and sugar topped with vanilla ice cream topped with bananas finished with a caramel sauce...heaven:lovestruc

Last time we were at Disney we did Whispering Canyon the first night and I may do that again the first night or 1900 Park Fare the first night. Don't know if i want to do a princess one right away or save it for another day. Plus i think Whispering Canyon was a skip, hop and a jump to get there. It seemed that it took awhile as if i recall correctly we had to take a boat over and it seemed like we would never get there. So maybe it would be better the first night when we don't have too much planned.

Ohh, i could get the milkshake and take the dessert home. I don't know if i would eat it for breakfast, but that is an idea

Yep, the bottomless milkshake can be your drink in addition to dessert. You don't leave there hungry that's for sure!!!

I'm considering adding WCC to our ADRs. It looks like fun and the smores cheesecake looks yummy.

We did this exact same thing on our trip in December! It was actually our first visit to WCC. DH & I had the skillet. The kids had burgers (they made an adult burger for DD, since at 10, she was considered an "adult") They allowed my son to have a milkshake as his drink, which I had read wasn't allowed for kids. Anyway, since we all had the bottomless milkshakes and a large dinner, we did not want dessert too. We got it to go and had it for breakfast the next morning!! I claimed that mine was the healthiest, since I got the apple pie. The apple pie was delish -- it had a sugar cookie crust. DD got the cheesecake, which she devoured. DH had the chocolate cake; it must have been good, because it was all gone. DS had the choc. chip cookies.

My son had his first milkshake there! He is allergic to milk so this one was extra special for him!

I've only done WCC for breakfast. For this upcoming trip (June) we agreed that we would try restaurants that we've never been to before. But let me tell you, after viewing some of the food photos on this board and seeing the smores cheesecake......I made it a point to schedule WCC for dinner. So technically we've been here before but not for dinner, so it'll ALMOST be like new. :thumbsup2
